  • The siding had small pieces randomly attached to use cut pieces.
  • The front door was not installed properly and needs to be replaced.
  • The storm door would not open because the overhang was too low; consequently, the overhang was destroyed when the wind blew the door open--not installed properly, and put a whole in it. Both were removed and trashed.
  • I am currently hiring someone to fix the siding including the pieces that fell off.
  • The company he hire for the gutter did a good job.
  • He said and put in the contract that it would take a week to ten days, but it took one year.

The service was horrible. Damage Clean Up Crew was hired in December 2012 and terminated in January 2013. They fail to remove their equipment from my home and it is now April 3, 2013. 
They failed to provide an itemized bill.  Don Smith's sales presentation misrepresented the service: he promised an itemized list and pictures of all items in my home due to the fire.  He promised to provide the latter paperwork the first week on the job so I could submit it to my insurance company. I still have not received any documents from Damage Clean Up and it is now April 3, 2013. He has not provided an itemized bill, itemized list of content or pictures of content as promised. Also, Damage Clean Up Crew never obtained a dumpster to dispose of debris/garbage. Instead, all the garbage was thrown into my backyard and remained there for weeks.
Important documents were removed from my house during the demolition. I asked for my documents and I was told to make an appointment during business hours to obtain my documents. It took months before I finally got access to those important papers. I was never given a key to the Pack Rat in my driveway. When I asked I never received an answer. I had to contact Pack Rat directly to have unit placed under my name.  I made several attempts to get them to remove their equipment from my home: email, mail, phone call, going to the police, filing with Consumer Affairs, and the Better Business Bureau. Yet they still refuse to remove their equipment.
Furthermore, the service provided resulted in additional damage to my roof and garage door. My roof was not damaged by the fire however Damage Clean Up Crew nailed tarp to my roof. Therefore due to the nails my roof has to be replaced. They  also damaged my garage door. The garage is connected to the first floor and has no relevance to the area with fire damage. Why did they open the garage door? The door is completely off the track. It was not like that before.
Why would someone not hand in the bill? Or remove their equipment? Very unprofessional.
