Excellent service. I received a prompt response to my request for service. At that initial phone call I was told how the company charged so there were no surprises. The electrician showed up on time. Work was completed in less than an hour. I appreciated the time taken to ensure that the breaker was bad and not a bad outlet.

Spotlight was wonderful in every respect. My initial communication with LoAnn was at 7:30 AM and they were out the same day to give me an estimate. Initially, they thought the work would be for 2 hours but realized it would take more because of the type of basement we have, which is where the cable was run through. they gave me a revised estimate for 4 hours, but the work only took 2 hours and they adjusted their bill downward. The work was top-notch, they were very thorough in going over how they were going to route the cable and I am literally on cloud nine because I need high speed internet as i have a law practice out of my home. I could not be happier with their service and will use only them going forward

I am very pleased with the responsiveness of the company, the quality of the work, and the fair pricing. The "hot" outlet was replaced quickly by Josh - and a quick response was very important to us given a possible fire/safety issue. Today, Sal, quickly realized the refrigerator was not plugged into the proper / large appliance grade outlet. It took him two minutes total, and as such it, he did not charge me for the visit. Great customer service!

We have used Spotlight twice now and have been nothing but pleased. They are responsive, professional and punctual. They are als reasonable and don't try to get you to do more than needed. We would absolutely continue to use them in the future.

It was an overall disappointing and frustrating experience. A job that was to have taken only a few hours of a single day ultimately took four attempts and just shy of seven months to complete. I called several contractors, including Spotlight Electric, to get quotes on repairing and replacing the storm-damaged service entry cable and conduit elbow. Spotlight would not return calls to arrange a site visit to bid the job. That should have been the first clue. Nonetheless, wanting to support local businesses, I reconsidered not dropping this contractor from the bid list. After an enjoyable and seemingly assuring conversation, I decided to contract with Spotlight Electric. However, once the job was awarded, getting a return call from the contractor in order to set the terms and a start date was near impossible, except when threatened with cancellation of the contract.
Once the job started, I felt uneasy about the how things were progressing. The workers were inexperienced for this task. Workmanship was poor and, as it turned out, the workers untrustworthy. The alignment of the service cable conduit, meter box and house-entry conduit were not plumb and not properly attached to the building. On inspection of the inside work, I noticed the breaker panel cover did not fit correctly. As it turns out, a frozen set-screw on the main breaker would not loosen, so the workers and quot;buggedand quot; together the old cable end, still attached to the offending screw, with the new replacement cable, wrapped the splice with a single layer of electrical tape, force it into the panel box and replaced the cover on the panel box, thereby creating a hidden hazardous and illegal situation. Most importantly, I was not made aware of the now concealed problem. When asked for final payment, I made issue of concerns based on the quality of work and refused to make final payment until the owner came to the jobsite to inspect and discuss the work. Keep in mind, I still hadn’t been informed of the conditions inside the breaker panel box.
The contractor did come by, remarked the outside work was not up to par and required correction then went inside to examine the ill-fitting panel cover. Upon attempting to reposition the cover, he was and quot;bitand quot; by an electrical shock. Once the cover was removed, he and I saw the wiring mess left by his workers. He immediately apologized for the situation and promised to make right all of my objections and the dangerous, illegal situations. After returning days later and several attempts to remedy the situation, I was informed the set-screw wouldn’t budge, requiring a replacement main breaker. Due to the age of the equipment, we agreed he would first attempt to locate a replacement. If unable to find a replacement he would provide a price to replace the panel box, install the circuit breakers and rewire the service. I did not hear from him until several weeks later at a chance meeting in the local home improvement store. He apologized again for taking so long in contacting me and that he was unable to find a replacement main breaker and would provide a quote as agreed. I did not hear from him for six months. During that time, I located and purchased a replacement breaker. All the while, the hazardous situation existed, causing me to take extreme measures to prevent bodily harm to others and to protect against potential liability issues.
Eventually, after several attempts by me to make contact and under veiled threat of litigation, he finally returned my calls and made arrangements to correct the problems. The wiring hazard in the panel box was fixed using the replacement breaker I purchased, the outside conduit runs were corrected and properly aligned and (thankfully) the contract closed out.

I was very nervous about the amount of wall damage that would be done in order to complete the rewire. It went so much better than I thought it would! Of course there were holes made in the walls, but many of them were only about hand size. Howard and Joe were the two main guys on the job and did an excellent job. They worked on the house as if it were their own. Old houses are a challenge to work on, and they managed to replace every receptical, light and switch including the 2 and 3 way switches that I know were quite a challenge. We have a wall size wooden mantle around the fireplace in the living room that needed to be rewired for lights. Spotlight Electric installed new wiring without cutting into the wood. They did a terrific job. I have nothing but good things to say about Spotlight Electric and would not hesitate to recommend them for any size job. Spotlight gave the best price and excellent service. When the electrical inspector reviewed the rough wiring he even commented that "it looks like the electricians are doing a good job for you". Do not hesitate to call Chris at Spotlight Electric if you have work that needs to be done.
