They stopped showing up as soon as they got the second payment. They said they needed more money. Our main contact, Greg Miller, with whom we had discussed all of the details of the work, suddenly disappeared without explanation. Dino Fanelle showed up with an entirely new builder, who began to point out structural defects (sawed out floor joists) many of which were caused by Fanelle. They also left a gaping hole in the living room ceiling. We finally fired them in December after paying them more than 2/3 of the estimated cost but with less than half of the work done and much of it done badly. Tile and vanities that we paid for were never delivered. We should have fired them sooner. We gave them every opportunity to do the work, persisting long after friends told us we crazy to keep them on board. As it stands we are still without functional bathrooms and damage to the structural integrity of our home. We now have to find other ways to redo what was done and undone.
