He did not begin the job until August 2004 (5 months after estimate). He refused to paint the closet interiors as I requested. Also refused to paint around things like door hinges, electrical outlets & switches, and door bells - he insisted on painting over them even though I asked not to paint them. I requested high gloss, white paint on the woodwork but he used flat paint same color as the walls instead. When I mentioned it, he told me that it was white not colored & that high gloss shouldn't be used in his opinion. The exterior and basement sections he kept putting off painting because he said it was too hot & he only does that in cool weather (never finished). He refused to complete the job after being criticized for not using the white gloss paint and for watching TV & reading the newspaper while sitting on my sofa instead of working.
