Maid Simple House Cleaning

Having been with Maid Brigade for many years (and very happy with the service), i was concerned when the company split and I was being called on by Maid Simple. My schedule was every other Tuesday for YEARS. The first couple of cleanings, things were OK. Then one day I came home to find that the house wasn't cleaned and when I called to inquire about this, I was told they got behind and my cleaning was pushed to another day (no phone call or notification and no apology). A couple of weeks later, the same thing happened. Maid Brigade used to call 2 days prior to the service as a reminder and they would always leave a comment card for the customer to complete and mail back. Maid Simple did away with those services. Additionally, the house just wasn't clean. The environment just didn't shine, floors clearly were not mopped, toilets were swished with a brush (but clearly not cleaned) there wasn't any scent or indication that they did much of anything. They were very good at stacking magazines though. Pictures were not dusted, floors were not vacuumed (I purposely left the carpet dirty to see if they would vacuum up the mess and they did not). Maid Simple charged my credit card twice (fortunately American Express credited me without any question... though I received a letter stating that inquires to Maid Simple went unanswered). This was the final straw. I spent a a great deal of time cleaning this past weekend (the maids had been there a mere four days prior) and the amount of dirt and dust that I picked up made it clear to me that it was time to fire Maid Simple for good. I always try to give someone the benefit of the doubt and appreciate an occasional bad day. However, for the amount of money I was paying, I expect my home to be CLEANED!
