HOBOKEN FLOORS

Shortly after installation I noticed gaps larger than the industry standard in our floors. I had a representative from the local Hoboken distribution center along with a salesperson from the installer's company look at the floors. They both claimed the floors were installed properly and there was nothing wrong with the wood (even though it dented easily and had huge gaps). Basically the Hoboken rep said it was all in my head and gave me a floor cleaning kit in an attempt to appease me. An independent hardwood flooring inspector examined the floor and filed a report that said the flooring was improperly milled (narrower on one end of the board than the other). I have been waiting for nearly 4 months for Hoboken to make a decision on a claim that our flooring contractor submitted. They will not respond to the end user (by phone or e-mail..I've tried both). Hoboken is a national chain. If you have hardwoods installed ask who the distributor is and save yourself a headache!
