I had a great experience with American Hardwood Floors. I hired them to stain my new railing system and replace the landing tread at the top of my stairs.
I had several flooring contractors look at my project because I had a wrought iron banister that was screwed into the floor and when it was removed there were holes left behind that looked terrible. Also, this remaining piece wood did not look flush to the rest of the floor. Other contractors told me to just leave it they would put some wood putty over the holes. They all said that if they tried to replace it would not look right or it shouldn?t be done because it would ruin the rest of the floor. I was unhappy with this because I didn?t want to have a brand new wood railing system installed over wood that I thought looked beat up. Ed and John from American Hardwood floors assessed the project and told me it was no problem. They promised to replace and stain the tread, rail and my new step that was being replaced at the bottom of the staircase. They worked hand and glove with the rail and step installer and I could not be happier with the final product. They were skilled, professional, and two nice guys. I wish there were more contractors like American Hardwood Floors.
My only hope is I can get them to come back again and install hardwood flooring in my family room as they are very busy.
