sprinkler, there was a cracked copper pipe...obviously they didn't properly drain the system...that's what a winterization is supposed to do...blow out the water. When I called the service tech said this winter was really cold so it wasn't their fault and I would have to pay them to repair it. WHAT??? If it is 30 or 0, the water still expands when freezing.
When I called the office they were no help..I asked for the owner to call me back....never happened...I called the office at least 5 times...they stopped answering my calls. And I WAS a long time customer...imagine how they treat a new one..
"This customer has repeatedly refused to pay for services and his pay history was over 120 days continuously. Everything was wanted for free. When we went to his house one year to add a head 3 years after the installation, he expected it for free. In his claim from above, he winterized after the first frost back in December of 2013 and expected us to pay for his repair. He was told there was no warranty and that there would be damage in the spring. As the owner of the business, you need to walk away from customers like this occasionally. Ironic part is we still service his parents house in Wallington, NJ. We are a reputable company and have been in business for over 15 years. I did not build my business from 300 customers to over 2000 by treating my customers this way."
What I am unhappy about was the punctuality and the response I received when I complained to the manager.
I had made the appointment weeks in advance and made sure that I am the first appointment at 8am for the day as I need to go to work right after.
However, on the day of the appointment, the technician did not arrive until past10am only after I made several phone calls to the office. According to the technician, I was 3rd in the list.
According to a manager I complained to, there was an emergency. If there was indeed an emergency, I would have appreciated a phone call indicating such so that I could have made other arrangements at work.
I asked for some kind of adjustment on the labor charges to compensate for my time but I found the manager I spoke with to be un-responsive and indifferent.
I have been using Corner-to-Corner regularly before, but now I have swtiched to another provider.
"As we are in the service business, issues arise from time to time that we are unable to forecast. This customer was on the list and we arrived between the window provided to him. He was unhappy because it was not the earlier part of the window. We do not and nor have we ever, provided exact times for appointments. It is a recipe for disaster. We provide 3 hours windows with a courtesy call when we are on the way so you aren't waiting around for us all day. Why should I allow him a credit if we arrived between the window hours that were provided? Unfortunately, there are people out there who expect things for free. Try and bill a doctor for your wait time in their waiting room or call Sears for a repair and see if they credit you because you had to wait for them for a couple of hours. It just doesn't happen. It is even harder for us as small business owners to issue credits for wait time. Our time is just as valuable as yours and if we arrive during the window given we are living up to our motto, in which we take pride in."
