Family owned & operated, American Glass was established in 1954 and has been a prominent designer, fabricator and installer of architectural metals, glass and custom mirrors in commercial offices, industrial warehouses, and luxury homes. American Glass is responsible for design, fabrication, and installation of some of the most prominent buildings and homes in New Jersey / New York area. We have received Architectural Designs, Fabrication & Installation Awards from Major Architectural Aluminum & Glass Production Industries since 1954. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped to suit all architectural & engineering requirements in metal, glass, and mirror.

0With AMERICAN GLASS & METAL I have called and called  multiple times and they keep brushing me off. I was told in February they had ordered an complete unit for my storm windows. Since February no one has came back to my home to finish the job . I last spoke wit this company on 05.20.14 and they stated they were busy and would come out next week, however no one has came to resolve this problem.

"As per your complaint resolution form I Louis Cinque president of American Glass & Metal Installers have answered that I am trying to duplicate the frame & screen window because of the age of the storm screen - 40 to 50 years old - these windows are no longer made. However I am really trying to solve the problem. I have spent many hours going to manufacturers and shops like mine."

I went to their office to get an estimate for a custom glass shower door and wall. They said they've give me a call with the estimate the next day. Two days later and no word, I gave them a call to see if they have the estimate and the woman said she'll double check and call me back, which they never did.

A week later, still no estimate. If it's this difficult to get just a simple estimate, it just means they're totally incompetent, unreliable and unresponsive.

I ended up hiring another glass company that gave me an estimate in a few hours and promptly replied to my emails, which American Glass & Metal should have done.

Meh, their loss.

Update: They called me over 2 weeks later with an estimate. (By now, my shower door and wall have already been installed by a different company and the project is over....)

One side of a two pane glass had a crack and I needed to replace the glass. I brought the window to them (30 x 43 inch) and left it there for a day. The repair was good and the price is very reasonable, since I got a quote of $300 from another glass shop. Very pleased with the work and will use them again in the future.
