We purchased two area rugs and had a runner installed on our staircase and hallway. We worked with Sandra, the owner. She has very nice design skills and was able to steer us in the right direction for area rugs in our taste and style. We had the runner delivered and installed by her people. They were friendly and professional. The installation itself was good on the stairs, but the hallway is slightly off. I'm just a perfectionist so I think I'm the only one who notices it. My husband thinks its fine. :-) We had a problem with one area rug but after I had a discussion with Sandra, she stood by her product and replaced it for me. I'm sure we paid a bit more than at Macy's or Home Depot, but the quality of the product can't be compared. We had our runner installed over a year ago and it looks brand new. I'm sure the area rugs will also hold up very well. They were conveniently located to us so that's why we went there first, but I think we will use them again for additional rugs.

We went looking for rugs on a Sunday and found that most shops weren't open on Sundays at all. Despite some negative reviews on this site, we decided to give Carpet Exchange the chance to work with us, and we're glad we did. The saleswoman was very helpful, pointing out carpets that might work for us. The rug was bound and available right away. The quality of rugs was far better than what's available in-stock at the big box stores, and the per sq. ft. pricing was competitive. The felt pad is nicer than what was recommended at the big boxes. Everyone at CE was very nice to us, and even offered to stay a little late, if needed, the day we chose to pick up our finished rug. I recommend them and would definitely shop there again the next time I need flooring.
