Description of Work: I was billed $350 dollars for radon remediation. I had a system in place but the home registered too high on a recent test. I contacted Mr. Stillwater to investigate. He suggested adding insulation to cracks and openings in the basement and stated that would correct the problem. Unfortunately my home still did not pass inspection. When I contacted him the contractor was unwilling to return or offer solutions. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the work that was performed as well. When he came to the house to "insulate" the basement against leaks he merely used a can of spray foam at the floor level and left a very sloppy looking mess behind - which as I said before did not work.

Not very well. He was suppose to: The radon gas is to be vented using the 2 existing 3" PVC pipes in the basement to the system fans which are to be mounted in the attic of the home. (NOTE: Due to the high levels of radon, a step above the standard fan the Maverick, The Legend will be installed on both pipes to reduce the radon gas to the lowest levels achievable.) The radon gas will be vented from the fans using the existing 3? PVC pipe to exit above the roof-line as per EPA guidelines. A system monitoring device is to be installed on the PVC pipe in the basement area to allow a visual check of the proper operation of the systems. He installed 1 fan instead of 2. He installed a fan not powerful enough to reduce the high radon level. The final test showed that the radon levels were still not low enough. Had to hire another company to complete the job efficiently and safely. The guy was nice and seemed knowledgeable, however he did not do the job well at our home.
Description of Work: Radon mitigation to reduce the radon gas levels in the home.
