Jim and his team are professional, reliable and some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They have transformed the outside of my house. We’ve had them install basement windows, as well as front and back doors. Most recently they changed two sliding patio doors, a garage door and replaced some damaged siding. Jamar’s quotes are always reasonable, they show up on time, their work is neat and they make sure to leave your property clear and clean. I highly recommend Jamar and will definitely use them again.

Replaced a 4-panel and a 2-panel set of Andersen sliding doors. Fantastic work and absolutely no pressure with selling the job I had it done on a 25 degree day and when everything was complete, there were no drafts coming through. They also cleaned up everything very well.

Great! Super professional. They worked with me on the price. Helped guide me though the process, offering their expert opinions and insights. They showed up on time, and finished ahead of schedule. When they walked out, my house looked just as clean as when they showed up. They even worked with me to keep the noise levels down, since I work from home. They were fantastic! I would recommend them to family and friends that needed windows, doors, or siding work done. I gave them a B on price, but more because I'm cheap, than anything else, haha. The doors and windows we selected were very high quality and great products. The door had to be custom, due to the size we required. That was the majority of the cost. Jamars cost on labor, was very reasonable. And they were willing to work with me on it.

JAMAR DOES IT AGAIN - WHY I LOVE DEALING WITH THESE GUYS! This is my fourth go-round with Jamar Construction in the past seven years since I purchased my new home. They have, in that time, installed 21 new windows and 2 sliding glass doors - one an over-sized, custom job. Financial considerations dictated that I do these jobs over a period of time to allow me to save up the resources necessary to complete them. The most recent job involved replacing an old sliding glass door with an energy star Andersen Perma Shield slider and screen, along with a foot bolt and hardware. The job included replacing some of the rotted wood on the frame, capping the outer frame with aluminum, and installing an inside threshold. They even took down and re-installed our vertical blinds - which many companies won’t even touch. The reason I go back to Jamar is that they are everything you could want from dealing with a contractor. Owner Jim Catanzaro is a pleasure to deal with in discussing the job, setting appointments and billing. His son, Greg, is now vice-president and company foreman. Greg not only oversees every job - but he is on-site, hands-on - doing the work. So why do I love these guys? 1) Their prices are very competitive 2) They arrive on time when they say they will. They do quality work - taking time to do everything correctly. If something’s wrong- they fix it. They work cleanly and quietly. 5) Greg patiently listen to and answers all questions and concerns. 6) Before leaving, they make sure everything is correct, clean up the work site, and ensure that I am satisfied. 7) I know, from experience, that if ever there is a problem down the line with anything they have installed - I can call on them and they will be there to correct that problem. Examples: one of the screen they installed some time ago was not tight in its frame: Mario came out and fixed the screen. Another time I had an issue with the “sliders’ on one of the windows having come down and the window not opening properly. Greg took my call and - over the phone - walked me through fixing the issue. Another time I had a problem with the foot bolt on the sliding glass door. Jim took the call and walked me through correctly that problem over the phone as well. These guys are there for you. They take pride in their work, they do it well, and they are there for you if anything comes up in the future. I feel like a valued customer and it has been a pleasure dealing with them. If there is a downside to dealing with them it is only that they spoil you for dealing with all other contractors because you come to expect the same level of workmanship and customer service. Needless to say - I highly recommend dealing with Jim and Gregg of Jamar.

The door took more than around 2 months to arrive. Jim kept me posted of the progress (A+ for responsiveness). Greg did a great job with the installation BUT there was a blemish in the finish. I emailed pics to Jim and he took full responsibility, extending the warranty to 5 years. I tried living with the blemish for a month, but it was at eye level and a neighbor and a relative commented on it, Jim was understanding and sent 2 refinishers who corrected the problem to the point that I now have to look hard to find any traces of the blemish. The door looks magnificent !! Jim was reachable by phone and email and never shirked from giving me full satisfaction. I loved his pride in his work and sense of responsibility.

All of our expectations of this job were exceeded by Jamar Construction. The windows came in when expected. The install was scheduled for a busy graduation week, so Jim arranged installation so that all interior work was done first, as not to interrupt our plans. The windows are beautiful, fit the character of my home perfectly, and it's a pleasure to now be able to open the house up while the weather is nice. Thank you, Jim.

The interaction with "Jim" was excellent for the initial estimate. There was good follow up. Good communication throughout. They coordinated the installation to fit my schedule. The work was done with great precision and neatly. There was little evidence that they had disturbed any plants or shrubs in doing the exterior finish work. All old windows were removed. The staff reviewed the method to service the windows.

Despite Jamar’s consistently great reviews I was a little apprehensive of the whole project: all 19(!) windows need to be replaced, will it require an extensive painting project afterword? How will it look outside? We could not be happier with the outcome of the project. The windows look great inside the house and outside. Even though we choose the narrow windows frames, after they were masterfully installed it only required several touch ups here and there (if you really picky). During the project, the rooms the guys have worked in were always left clean, the equipment was neatly stored. But it didn’t stop there! They also helped us solve the roof leaking problem and replaced several damaged siding planks around 2 windows. Thank you Jim, Greg and the whole crew. If we ever need siding or/and front door replacements we know who will we call. ?

Just like everybody I received a few estimates on siding and garage door. Siding 4,5 in, appro[, 2500 sq. ft. The reason why I choose Jamar, they are local, over 40 years in business, the provided me me with three houses in my town with the COLOR that i chosse for my siding!! That was extremely helpful, knowing how your house will look, they also took a picture of my house and the next day Greg send me how my house will look in new color, my wife was happy! Deposit was $100 which is unheard off this days, I was ready to give 30-50%. They got the permit, and a week and half later started. The time frame of the project was Monday and Friday half a day ( in actuality the project was only 2 1/2 days, on Wednesdays and Thursday was raining nonstop with strong wind) . Same people were working throughout a project, the owner James was present every single day. The Garage door was installed as well and was done in 3 hours time. They also helped me put back all of my cameras back and hide all the wires, which was very nice of them. In conclusion, it is very hard to find good, professional and responsible contractors, I'm glad I went with JAMAR!! Will I recommend them, MOST DEFINITELY!

I was extremely pleased from the beginning of the project to its completion. Jim was very professional and worked up a written estimate immediately, but there was no pressure to sign. In fact the estimate sat in my house for two weeks while we looked at other homes he had done siding on (he provided multiple addresses) and spoke to one of the home owners. When the work began, the workers were at my house everyday ready to start by 8am. Jim was by everyday to check on the progress and was easily accessible by phone or email for any questions I had. They actually completed all the work a day ahead of schedule and I am very happy with the outcome. It made a huge difference in my house (I still smile every time I drive up to my home) and the whole contracting experience was positive and professional. I would highly recommend Jamar!

Everything went great! The estimate process was quick. I received the proposal in a few days, and after comparing the Jamar proposal to others I decided to go with Jamar (obviously!!!). My decision was based on value, the AL reviews, and a nearby neighbor had work done by Jamar in which they were satisfied. The installation went very well, and we are very happy with the finished product. We decided to do groups of windows, and we have already signed up for the next batch of windows to be installed by Jamar. I highly recommend them!

Everything with Jamar went great--  In a nutshell, we renovated our home with another company four years ago and over time have learned that some projects were poorly completed.  One example is the Hardie plank installation on the outside of our home.  After a windy storm, some planks were beginning to fall off one side of the house.  I called Jim because I saw their website showed them as Hardie plank specialists, and Jamar had great reviews.  He came over and inspected the damage, made recommendations, and he and his coworker Mario came over on a Saturday to complete the job.  The house looks fantastic now with the secured planks, i.e. no more planks installed wavy like the ocean on the sides of our house!  More importantly, my family is safe and can walk around the property again without worrying about potentially falling planks.  

Jim also quoted for replacing several new windows, and I liked how he gave me all the options without being pushy about anything.  The windows arrived right on schedule and were installed in a day, just as Jim promised.   It has been a week since installation, and we are enjoying our beautiful new windows.
 
Customer-service-wise, Jamar was outstanding.  From quote to finish, Jim and his team were personable, knowledgeable, punctual, and capable.   Everyone answered my questions and exhibited positive can-do attitudes during the work day.  From talking with them, I can tell that they actually care about their work and take great care in their workmanship.  Also, they listened to my concerns and addressed them.  For example, I was worried about construction debris in the bedroom and dining room and workers walking all over the house, since we have white carpets, furniture, etc. in those areas that windows were being removed/installed.  Jim and Greg made sure to cover my floors and furniture, and they worked hard to keep all the work sites clean.  Also, my family just adopted a cat and I was worried she would get out with workers coming in and out of the house.  Greg was really nice and kept an eye on her to make sure she stayed inside.  It's the small things like this that I really appreciated. 

I was very pleased with Jamar, both their people and products, and I would definitely hire them again.
