I can't say enough great things about Mick Sr and Mick Jr and their staff. They treat us like family. We have a couple different jobs going on and they help us coordinate things that are not even part of their job. They basically live at our place as they completely run the show coordinating inspections etc. They also go way above and beyond for us, scheduling repairs on issues they see that are again, not their responsibility. Mick and his crew did a full makeover in my home. He ripped up my existing tile floors and replaced some with hardwood floor and replaced another section with new tile. He also put a real fancy wall border all throughout my home. He did Soo much more too. He and his son are truly great people!!! They even came on their own time to help me move furniture. WWe have become GREAT FEIENDS! Jr even cut down a tree for me and hauled it to the back of my property. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY JOB YOU NEED, LARGE OR SMALL!!!

From the first meeting to the last item on the punch list, they made the experience actually pleasant. They used only the highest quality material. Their craftsmanship was impeccable. They answered every question immediately and precisely. When they had a question on how to proceed, they checked with us first and worked with us to find a solution. They were on time and efficient. Frankly, we expected that. But the O'Connors have an aesthetic sensibility that would not let them do anything that was unattractive or not in keeping with the general look of the house. And, finally, the personnel made the real difference. Mick O'Connor, Sr., Mick O'Connor, Jr., their employees, their subcontractors and their employees were all highly skilled, experts at their craft, and great to deal with, unfailingly friendly and pleasant. The end result is that we feel like we have a beautiful new house.

This is our fourth project with O'Connor Contracting, and it won't be our last. They are fantastic!  Mick and Mick Jr. designed and built a gorgeous pool house for us, and as usual the entire process was as smooth as silk!  The design they came up with mirrors our wrap-around porch, so it's a perfect complement to our house. Construction started on schedule and stayed on schedule, with only minor disruptions for truly awful weather. All the permits and inspections were managed by the O'Connors. We can hardly wait for spring so we can open the pool and start using the area again!

O'Connor Contracting met with us to look at photos we saved in our Houzz ideabooks and then designed exactly what we were hoping for - a simple but elegant look for our entrance. They measured, re-measured, selected the materials and got to work right away. The first thing they did was even out the lopsided entrances to the rooms that open off the foyer - this gave both sides a more balanced feel. Then they cut, trimmed, and installed each piece of trim and molding for a perfect fit, and caulked the necessary joints to ensure it was smooth and ready for painting. I loved the fact that they kept checking in with us to make sure we were happy with the progress and style as it unfolded. The result is spectacular. I love my foyer now, and the living room looks ten times better now that the entrance from the foyer is a proper height and trimmed - what a bonus!

Working with the O’Connor team was a delight from the very beginning, when we met with Mick Sr. and Mick Jr. to discuss our relatively vague ideas for a sun room and porch. Mick Sr.’s drawings were spot-on, and his cheerful willingness to modify and revise them helped us define exactly what we really wanted. The result was a final design that promised to be stunning, and we were not disappointed.
The planning, scheduling and paperwork portion of the process was an absolute breeze; the O’Connors handled every aspect of
it themselves, leaving nothing to chance. The members of their team were a pleasure to have working here, and the O’Connors’
reputation and well-established relationships in the industry meant that we also had excellent people working on things like masonry and painting.Plans and schedules were all thorough and straightforward; construction started right on schedule – and stayed that way. The O’Connor team was here like clockwork, working through often miserable weather conditions with not just good cheer, but a professional attitude that showed as much care for our home and property as if they were working on their own. The site was so well managed and kept so neat that our neighbors even commented on it. Every aspect of the project was smoothly coordinated and professionally managed, with clear communication and no surprises. We never had to wonder what was going on, never had to ask for an update, never had to chase anyone down with multiple phone calls. They were on site, accessible, and incredibly responsive. If we had a question, they got us an answer. If we had an idea, they made it work. If there was an issue, they took care of it. They were flexible and creative throughout the entire project; any adjustment that had to be made or changes we requested were done with Mick’s cheerful trademark, “the impossible just takes five minutes more.” The work itself is absolutely meticulous – incredibly solid construction with such graceful design that it’s actually artistic in its blend of “simple-farmhouse-style-meets-elegant-details.” We’ve had a steady stream of compliments from family, friends, and neighbors, not to mention regular drive-bys of people we’ve never met just slowing down to admire it. The work was so good that the final punch list was virtually non-existent! Honestly, we've never met a team of contractors this good and this easy to work with. We're glad they manage projects of all sizes, because we want them back again!
Our porch and screen room are a fine example of what sets a true master craftsman and his team apart from all the others. Our highest praise and sincerest compliments to O’Connor Contracting, and we look forward to having them back again next month for our next project!
