HART'S HEATING & AIR COND

I had my HVAC system checked a month or so again by another company who I contracted with to perform two preseason HVAC checks...everything checked out fine for the summer. So, I turned on the air conditioner late last week after it stopped raining and the preseason check failed to detect that the outside air conditioner was low on refrigerant. When I called the company to report that my system was not working and that I had water in my basement from the furnace. I was told they couldn't send a tech out until next Monday....6 days later. I called several other companies in an attempt to get a service technician to resolve the problem sooner rather than later....all said they were very busy with the recent warm weather. I called Hart's back when the contract company could not help due to a manpower shortage. Hart’s HVAC is a small but highly rated company according to a consumer group. Base on my first time experience with their service, I do recommend it for HVAC services. The technician was very professional and explained what he was checking and why then determined that the only issue was a low refrigerant level, when I was expecting that I might need an entirely new system...it is 16 years old. So it appears it as a few more years of life…always good news, thanks to Harts. When that time does come, they will be providing the first of several estimates and not the company I had the preseason check contract with.
