I absolutely LOVE St Francis Animal Clinic. I have 6 pets and recently they diagnosed and treated my 14 yr old cat for an ear infection. More importantly, they spent the time to listen to my concerns, understand the issues and treated my pet with loving care. They are truly about the care of the animal - not the big business money maker type of vet that I loathe. I have already recommended family and friends who are also extremely happy! Excellent. Due to the potential for infection, they were able to squeeze me in same day. Dog had to be sedated for procedure, and was handled with care. Dr. O'Connor was very gentle with the dog, and her vet tech stayed with her as she was coming out of the sedation. Similar procedure was done on my other dog by my previous vet, and experience was not nearly as good and fee was much higher. At that time, dog was given back to me still completely sedated because the office was closing. This time, dog wasn't released until they were sure she was up and steady on her feet. I have been to St. Francis several times since switching over to Dr. O'Connor, and I am very happy that I did. I have no doubt that my dogs will be getting the best care possible, and that they will be treated with care and compassion.

Easy to make appointment. Friendly staff and vet. Informative, caring vet and staff. Handled both wary cats well. The cats had no after-effects of the visit. She and staff answered all my questions capably. What a relief. This was the kitties' first visit to this vet. I am so glad that I found a good vet and the cats didn't mind the experience.

I dabble in animal rescue and they are my veterans. I have been using her for four years. I am very impressed with her. She is a very pragmatic vet and is very caring with the animals and she is sensitive to the price. She is not going to refuse to diagnose things without some kind of diagnostic test and she is very open about what she can diagnose with the information that she has. She is really good at letting you know what you can learn with a diagnostic test. I have worked with other vets in the area and the younger ones cannot diagnose without doing a bunch of expensive test. She is very good about letting you know what you can learn with additional testing and what she can figure out with the information that she currently has and letting you know the different price points. I have a neighbor that has spent about 5,000 dollars on their dogs in taking them to Redbank Hospital and Garden State for some expensive tests. I know a lot of folks simply would not be able to handle that financially. She will be honest with you about what the test will cost and what you would learn so you could make informed decisions about how you want to handle certain situations.
