Freehold glass is the closest store to my house. I called, they gave me a price quote and told me they could fix my window on the spot. Everything was wrong! Never go to this store!
The price was $25 higher (almsot double) than what I was quoted, and did not want to fix window on the spot. John (the owner) was yelling, cursing and unprofessional. He told me his wife quoted me, then called his wife and yelled at her. He finally replaced the glass.
DO NOT GO TO FREEHOLD GLASS FOR ANYTHING!
The person I spoke with was polite although a bit curt, and made it obvious that they had little interest in residential work unless it was a complete replacement. My final decision came down to price. The quote was so high I left to decide if it made sense to pay more and replace the entire door.
I went to a different glass shop about a mile away and their price was just under 60% of what I was quoted here. When they came out I asked them what they would charge to cover the raw wood under the door with aluminum, and they said they would do it for $50 since they could do everything at the same time. Any homeowner knows you can't get anything done for that price.
I'm very happy I chose not to use this Angie's list merchant.
Make sure if you call for a repair that you measure the space so you can give that to them over the phone to get the estimate.
