"To address customer [Member Name Removed] [Member Name Removed] called for service 12/16/15 to complain his refrigerator had a temperature issue. The customer called on 12/18/15 and said he was to hear back from the technician 12/17 but did not and needed the refrigerator repaired. [Member Name Removed] called in and stated it was urgent that she get her refrigerator fixed because she was having 40 people for the holiday. [Member Name Removed] explained that [Member Name Removed] could not guarantee it because it was short timing but would do the best we can for her not to panic. Her interpretation of me being rude was because [Member Name Removed] was honest with her. [Member Name Removed] would never tell a customer we had bigger customers, and they did not matter to Abco. Abco did order the parts but was told by the distributor on 12/23 it was on backorder. Abco had every in tension on going out on the 23rd or even Christmas Eve morning g to repair the refrigerator if the part came in. Unfortunately, for Abco the customer gets to fabricate her version of the story to make Abco look bad and the company suffers from it. We hoperate that customers get to review our response and use their own judgement in using Abco Appliance."
"Not sure what happen here but hard to give quote without seeing product so how is this a review on our company if we were never at this job"
I provided over 50% deposit and I was advised by Joseph that he can order the part on Saturday 07/12 and I should call the office on Monday to get an appointment and he can get my fridge back up and running in no time. He also advised me that there is a 1-year guarantee on the work he will do.
After he left, I called ABCO main line and encountered a long vmail message with the same rude woman. I left a message on Saturday. Called back on Monday a few times, left more messages on Monday and still no response. Finally on Monday the woman picked up, totally irked and screaming. She totally negated what Joseph had advised me on the part, delivery and timing. She hung up without advising me on the scheduling of the defective part.
Since 07/12/14, I have called over a dozen times, left vmail messages and the woman (the scheduler) does not respond nor cares to call back on the defective part's delivery and the fact they charged me the money and have not delivered the promised services.
I would never recommend anyone to try this horrible service and go through a bad experience. For the past 10 days, I have no fridge and cannot keep any food at home.
I have advised Frigidaire on ABCO's unprofessional service and they were shocked. My building advised me to leverage Sears and other agencies but I went by the recommendation of the appliance company. A big mistake. I hope the owner of ABCO reads this message and gets this issue resolved and replaces his rude scheduler.
On July 9, 2013, after waiting three weeks to hear from someone, I called and advised the dispatcher that I was still waiting for a price for my oven repair. She asked my address and said she would have the technician call me. She never apologized or expressed any interest or concern over the fact that I had been left hanging for weeks. I received no return phone call.
On July 10, 2013, I called again, but no one answered the phone. I suspected that my call was not being answered because the dispatcher recognized my name/number on the Caller ID. So I utilized *67 to block my number and called again. I received a prerecorded message from the phone company, stating that the number I had dialed did not accept calls from restricted numbers and if I wanted to get through I needed to unblock my number or call from a different phone. (What legitimate business blocks callers with restricted numbers?) I called again without blocking my number, and surprise, surprise, no one answered.
Today, July 30, 2013, having heard NOTHING from Abco (regarding either appliance) in the seven weeks since the technician visited my home, I called Electrolux and advised them that I had called for service under my extended warranty on June 10, 2013 and was still waiting for the work to be done. The customer service rep from Electrolux tried to contact Abco, but NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. Therefore, she made arrangements for another provider to make the repair on my refrigerator.
I would not recommend Abco to anyone for anything. They provide ZERO customer service.
I then called Abco, the only other repair service close by authorized, besides Jersey Coast, to service my Frigidaire refrigerator. I explained the same thing - door does not close, likely needs adjustment to realign the door. The service call would be $68, which would go toward parts/labor for the repair if I elected to do it. I chose Abco.
The serviceman came on time, verified it was an alignment issue, realigned the door, and charged me the service call of $68, not a penny more. What a difference in price!!!!
Both companies could use a little in-service training for their phone personnel. No one was particularly rude, but it was rather uninviting to a new customer to hear less-than-professional phone service. Gum cracking, papers rustling, distracted voices, etc. I got the feeling from each place that if I asked too many questions, they would just hang up or get patronizing. I'd stay away from Jersey Coast. Abco was great - but they ought to improve their customer service.
The overall experience has been very upsetting.
"In response to Member comment. First and foremost we would like to apologize that you had a bad experience with Abco. However, we told Mrs Inglima's from the beginning it would take minimum of 10-14 business days but it could be longer and that Abco would call her as soon as we received the tub. Member left me a message on August 24, and left me a message to call her back if not that day, then on Monday. On August 27th Denise from Abco called the Member to schedule her for the tub install and she refused service. Abco Appliance still has her recorded telephone message on file that she left on August 24. We are not in the business to take consumers money, therefor Abco is sending a refund to Mrs Inglima's, menus her service charge of $96.24. The Member will receive a check for $103.76 to show Abco' s good character."
