Hanzel Roofing is a family owned and operated business. Owners Kevin and Nick Hanzel started the business in 1976. They do the work on every job, along with their 2 full time employees. They do not hire sub-contractors or temporary laborers.

This contractor was very knowledgeable, but his estimate for a new roof was too expensive for my budget. He advised that the work would be performed by only two men, himself and another relative in the business. The lead time to complete was several days which made me anxious. But if I could have afforded him, I am sure that he would have done a great job.

I highly recommend Hanzel Roofing! Everything went smoothly from my call to the company after finding them on Angie's List to the completion of the job. Mr. Hanzel's appearance and truck were neat and professional. He was very friendly. I am a do it yourself-er myself, and I had some questions. Mr. Hanzel took the time to explain why a given section of the roof was leaking and what could be done about it. He also sealed up some other deteriorated areas. He completed his work neatly and efficiently. A pleasure to deal with. Would certainly re-hire.

He is very punctual and efficient! When he said he was going to be there, he was there. He was very professional and down to earth. He explained everything he found well. He fixed the problem quickly and is coming back later to do other work.

Nick and his crew were in and out in a couple of hours. We just got 5 inches of rain yesterday and no leaks.

Had a leak in my roof after all the rain over the weekend and Nick came right out on Monday and fixed it. He wanted to try this first to see if it fixes the issue before ripping out the area and replacing it. Honest guy and I will definitely use him again if I decide to replace the section of roof.

Professional in every way. Promptly arrived at 8 every morning. Put tarps down and sheets of plywood to protect bushes and windows from debris. Cleaned up every day before leaving at 4:15. Highly recommended. If we could give a higher rating we would.

He showed up on time and he was easy to schedule with. I didn’t feel like he did a thorough inspection on the attic and ventilation in the roof. He seemed to be in a rush and I felt like I didn’t get my money's worth. I was a little disappointed. I had another contractor come out and he missed a problem with my soffits that the other contractor said needed to be repaired. The soffits are completely blocked off by plywood and they needed to be cut open and Hanzel didn't acknowledge that. I would be open to them coming back out and giving me some options and quotes.

"I was at this home 6 months ago I was on time for the appointment, however [member name removed] was not there and I made a return trip the. At the time, [member name removed] seemed satisfied with the information that I provided to him. The issue he called me out for was to inspect the roof and flashings which I did. He even came onto the roof with me so that I could better explain to him the minor issues that existed. He asked me to look inside the attic, which I did at no additional cost. I believe we found that the insulation was in poor condition and blocked any air from entering at the eave edges. I suggested he consult an insulation contractor and I may have given him a referral. I am willing to visit his home again to look at any particular issues he may have."

Work went great. Nick Hanzel contacted me the day I purchased the big deal and we set up a date and time for him to come over. He arrived on time, we went over existing issues and went about the inspection and maintenance, directly addressing a small leak at a plumbing vent. After the inspection was complete Nick provided a verbal report on the condition of the roof with expectation of a future life of 10 years

They did excellent work. They have been in the business for 30 years. He gives you a 10 year warranty and stands by his work. He's efficent and professional.

He placed new rubber caps on roof pipe penitrations. Checked my sky lights, roof fan, center cap. He reported the condition of the roof. Spent about 45 min.

First, Mr. Hanzel was more than accommodative with my schedule and upon meeting him was professional, very courteous, and I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of roofing. He performed the contracted services and answered all my questions regarding roof products and maintenance. I plan to contact him in the fall to install an animal guard over the outside bathroom fan vent once the birds finish their brooding season, and I would highly recommend him to anyone with a roofing concern!

If I could give Nick @ Henzel's Roofing better than an A+ in every category I would!
I called other roofers numerous times to get an attic roof fan installed and they either didn't show up or once they saw a 3 story with a 12x12 pitched roof they never came back.
Nick called right back, came out for the estimate & work on the days he said he would and they did a professional job at a great rate. This is the old fashion way of doing business, prompt courteous service, with attention to detail. You can bet if I ever have any roofing issues in the future, Henzel's will be my first & only call! Thank you!

Company had to remove two layers of old roofing material, they worked around weather, no part ot wood roof was left exposed to weather during work, all trash from old roof was cleaned up and removed, new roof looks great.
