We highly recommend Steven at Mainstream Plumbing & Heating. Our first experience with Mainstream Plumbing & Heating was in 2020 during Covid when we lost hot water in our house. Our previous plumber went out of business and luckily Steven was available. He diagnosed the issue and explained that we needed a new water heater. Even though supply was tight, he was able to find a new Rheem water heater and install it quickly. We previously bought a warranty extension kit for our old water heater and even though previous plumber installed it, Steven promised to file claim with manufacturer to reclaim money for us. We were pleasantly surprised that Steven contacted us a few months later to give us the warranty money that he recovered. We are extremely grateful for his honesty and integrity! Throughout the years he has fixed the toilet flush valves in 2 of our bathrooms, fixed clogged bathroom sink and replaced the drain and replaced a leaking shower fixture. Most recently he troubleshooted the loss of water pressure in our kitchen and discovered that the shut off valves had failed and discharged debris towards the faucet causing a blockage issue. Steven’s work is impeccable and he is always prompt, clean and utilizes the best materials. He explains the problem clearly and provides fair estimates given his expertise and quality of work. We highly recommend Steven and look forward to continue working with him for all our plumbing needs!

We lost hot water Saturday evening and noticed that the pressure relief valve was leaking water. We called multiple plumbers and Steven was the only one to call us back same day within a few minutes. He was gracious enough to squeeze us in as his next appointment. During the visit he explained our issues in friendly and comprehensive manner. He ended up changing the pressure relief valve and installing pressure reduction valve and accompanying chamber. He also fixed our outdoor leaking faucet in the same visit. The work had excellent craftsmanship and very fair price.

To my relief Mainstream Plumbing & Heating practices social distancing and has all COVID-19 protocols in place. Excellent work ethic, excellent work quality; and worth every penny. Master Plumber 'Steve' is an extremely honest owner/operator that has been my go to guy for everything plumbing & heating for the last decade. Every job Mainstream P&H did at my home was inspected and up to public code and NEVER had one problem that needed a follow up call. ALWAYS a fair price for top quality work that is guaranteed. I believe the highest compliment you can give a tradesman is a referral; Mainstream Plumbing & Heating is the name I give to my friends and family because Steve has higher standards than most and takes a great deal of pride in the services he provides his customers. Steve, of Mainstream Plumbing & Heating, competently performed a job for me for which he was immediately paid. Unfortunately, I did not review the invoice carefully enough. When I did so later that day I had some questions. The next day I phoned him to ask for an estimate on a new job which he provided. In the course of that conversation, I asked him for more specifics about how he calculated the cost of the first job which was higher than what we had originally discussed. He sounded very annoyed & irritated as I unsuccessfully sought to get an explanation. He stated that if I was so concerned about cost perhaps I should try another plumber. It was as if I didn’t have a right to question him & my asking was placing a burden on him. Apparently, transparency is not his strong suit. I took his advice & found another plumber for the new job. I’m glad I did. The new plumber’s charge was $100 less than Steve’s estimate.

We called Mainstream plumbing at 6:30 am due to what we thought was a burst pipe. We had no water and had to get to work. Steve returned our call immediately, and was at our house by 8:15 am and fixed the issue on the spot. We are very grateful for his reponsiveness and will hire him again if/when needed.

Steven was responsive, professional, and friendly. He arrived when he said he was going to and fixed the problems for what I feel was a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend him and use him again!

Very professional. Kept me informed of everything he was doing. Gave me choices as to what quality replacement parts I wanted. He explained the cost vs benefit of each item. He did not push the most expensive choices. He was very clean and made sure I was happy before he left.

Steve was professional, discussed my options with my existing water heater being knowledgeable about new codes, explained all the details and answered my questions. He responded to my initial phone message very quickly and was prompt. He didn't try to sell me any products or services but gave me his fair opinion as to what to do.
He cleaned up after work was completed.
I would definitely use him again and will recommend him to any friends and neighbors.

Steven took my call late in the evening and came the next morning, on time. He also helped me shut off the water over the phone as I texted him pictures of the pipes -  which saved me an entire night of mopping! He fixed a burst pipe and I had heat and hot water in a few hours. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again since he is knowledgeable, prompt and most importantly - fixed the problem quickly.

The owner Steve is prompt, knowledgeable, neat, and fair price. I've used Mainstream several times, replacing a water heater, changing valves around main water feed and re routing sump pump piping. Steve's handled all projects with with expertise. I would recommend Mainstream to anyone with plumbing problems.

This is the second time that we have used Mainstream Plumbing and Heating at our home.  Steve has been completely professional in both experiences.  He returns calls promply and arrives when he says he will arrive.  Once at my home, he carefully explains what the problem is and he tells you how he will address the problem.  When he completes the job, everything works perfectly!   No fuss, no muss!   Each time that we have used Mainstream Plumbing, it has been a complete pleasure.  Will I use mainstream again?  No doubt in my mind.  (In fact I already have a few jobs lined up in my mind.) Steve runs this company like a company should be run.  Prompt call backs, arrives on time, completes the job as promised, is fairly priced and leaves your home in a condition where you would not even know he was there.  What else could you want?  Mainstream will get the call for all of my plumbing needs, without hesitation.

Went well fixed the problems.

R&R hot water heater, replace both valves on water meter, contacted water co. to shut off water outside, got permit, replaced leaking water shut off's with ball valves made USA. All work done professionally, cleaned area & took all debris away.

The owner actually did all the work himself creating a neat work area. All the replacement parts he used were of high quality. He contacted both the water company to get them to shut off the water and replaced of water meter, he also went to the town & got the proper permit for the plumbing work he did. I would definitely use this company again for any future plumbing work.

Steven diagnosed the problem, while is wasn't a plumbing issue, he was able to think outside the box.  I felt like he was honest and while my problem was not a big job for Steven, he saved me big time.  He is my plumber for life!

We left a message for Steve on Saturday afternoon and he returned the call Sunday, apologizing for not getting back to us sooner. We told him of our problem and he said he would stop by the next day. He gave us an approximate time but would call first so we wouldn't have to wait around.  He called & arrived almost exactly as he had told us.  We showed him the leaking ceiling & he found the problem almost immediately. He showed us how the water was getting through some small cracks in the grout & caulking . He removed all the grout in the problem area and also in some other areas that could be potential problems in the future. He sealed everything up, showed us what he did & why.  I found him to be very professional, reaonably priced and most importantly not in a hurry to get the job done & get out. I would certainly use him again  in the future & recommend him to others
