Description of Work: Reconstruct and add on addition due to Super Storm Sandy. | |Long process due to frigid winter weather but they were amazing when called at all hours with - degree weather to fix broken pipes etc. even the owner came to help out. Would recommend them without any reservations.

+ 7 moreJohn was responsive in getting someone out to the house to give me estimates for the work. Work was started on time. Getting the demolition done quickly was essential to minimizing the risk of mold in the house. The men were in the house within days of my calling John to approve the demolition. The reconstruction is exactly what I expected and more. The reconstruction was done professionally, on time and on budget. There were only a few minor delays that were due to delays with outside vendors. The workmanship on the molding was exceptional. The men were great at cleaning up after each project. The project manager kept me up-to-date on progress via emails or by phone. The project manager responded quickly to any punch list items I found. The team went above and beyond as one day during a heavy rainstorm there was a risk of flooding in the house. The men went out and dug trenches to keep the water from coming into the house. John even went out during a cold spell to check on the pipes for me as I live over an hour away from the property. I call that true customer service. I will definitely use J. Lorton for any future work on the house.
Description of Work: J. Lorton provided demolition on my shore house that was flooded by 4 feet of water, due to Super Storm Sandy in October 2012. John's men took out all furniture and belongings, boxed up any items that could be salvaged and then stripped the interior down to studs. They then prepped the interior for reconstruction. Finally, completing interior reconstruction, which included sheet rock, new windows in one room, new exterior doors, and sliding doors, new kitchen cabinetry, new bath, carpeting, and tile work. I also had them redo the screened in porch and fix a drainage problem. I contracted with John as I had previously had him replace windows and side the house as well as replace the roof windows. I knew I could count on him to get the work done properly.
