I began taking my lab to Dr. Force for around 3 years until she passed at age 16 in 2012. I had experienced misdiagnosis with her from a number of other vets after providing them great detail for concern of labored breathing and stress that I saw on her facial muscles. One stated it is due to the mere fact that and quot;labs pantand quot;. It was properly diagnosed at the Lakewood Emergency Vet when I took her in with an intestinal virus. She had a paralyzed larynx that closed her airway to an opening the size of a thin straw. She was clearly suffering. The Veterinary Specialists that were just outside of the Jackson border did a phenomenal job tying back her larynx in 2008. She was 12 at the time. I wanted better care for her with someone that I could truly trust. I asked around and Dr. Force was highly recomended by a very reliable source.
In 2012, we have also taken my boyfriend's Australian Shepherds to Dr. Force. Both of them had itchy backsides. We switched dog food as he recommended, and it ceased.
Historically, he has always listened to our observed symptoms of our loved pets, and subsequently given his opinions of possible causes. Following his opinion, he always addressed our subsequent barrage of questions on the and quot;what ifsand quot; with all of them. He has always given us options very costly diagnostic testing, basic screening testing that would provide a window for any need for more detailed diagnostics, and has always followed up with a phone call. He has always been patient and never rushed us out. His pricing has always been reasonable.
I am very sorry for the subscriber that lost her cat. I find it shocking that he would not have given her the option for a biopsy. I love animals and although my lab lived to age 16, her passing still breaks my heart. They were very compassionate when she passed, and we brought her to him for paw prints and cremation. I loved my big little mush of a dog, and would not have trusted any other vet for her routine care.

I pointed a tumor on my cat out to the vet and he said this was nothing. My cat was not tested and he came to his conclusion. He gave my cat steroids and medication and it just made my cat sick. I took my cat to another veterinarian and they said it was cancer. I finally had her operated on and she didn’t live very long after it. It was bone cancer. I didn't like Dr. Force's attitude and I am glad I went to get a second opinion.
