Description of Work: I bought the Big Deal from Tip Top to paint one room for $99. I added 2 ceilings to the job for $150 extra. I was very happy with the job - they were able to complete the job in a day despite my add-on. There were no drips or missing spots. He cleaned up everything at the end - there was nothing I would have changed in the experience.

Description of Work: |I originally bought the $99 great deal to paint the walls of one room. I asked to extend the deal for ceiling, door, trim and windows, at which point I was told that the usual room would cost 375 (275 for labor). I ended up paying 550, including a charge for extra priming of 125 and 50 for paint, and Tommy came to work two days. My rating is therefore not based on the big deal, rather on the actual work done and amount paid | |The pros: |Tommy was nice, courteous and accomodating. He communicated promptly, alerted me properly when he realized he was running late coming in both days. I also appreciated that he offered to come on the next day, a saturday to complete the work. | |Overall paint job was done well. They were able to remove some small old humidity stains on the ceiling, and the trims look good. The walls are made of plaster and needed some superficial patching | |The cons |If had bought a great deal to save some money, and I was under the impression I was going to pay at most $400-450. So I wasn't pleased to discover I was being charged $550, and was only told about it at the time of payment. | |There were delays in both days of work amounting to a few hours, which is not major, but it did mean there was less time to complete the work, and I felt they had to rush at the end of each day, since the lighting was poor | |All considered, the paint job good, however the base board had a random 1 foot long and 3in wide section that was missed one coat of painting. There some areas with some heavy painting, with some drips, and a small cabinet door was not finished. These are relatively minor items, which I wouldn't have paid any attention to at a lower price. | |So, overall good, not great, and would maybe consider it for an A under other circumstances

 + -1 moreThe messaging online pretty much sums it up: Dear Tom, i thought i was going to get my dining room painting for $99. i'm sorry that this appears that it is not going to work out. that's ok. i will either do it myself or see if there is another painter that can work with me. should i ask Angie's support team to refund my $99? NO ceiling or trim. minimum prep. That is why I wrote what I did above. I would ever expect something for nothing and I wanted to at least give you what you paid for John. It is a pretty good deal for sure. If you have any other questions, or if I can be of assistance let me know John 3/29/2014 Thank you for the Big Deal offer. it is a good price but cannot afford to pay $550 - $100 at this time. I will proceed to simply request a credit back. thanks again for trying to work something out.

 + -1 moreThe service worked out excellent. He is coming back tomorrow to do additional work. I told him that I wanted him to come out the last week of March, and that is when he came. I knew when I wanted the work done when I bought the big deal, and he called me the last week of March to schedule it. He came out on time, I told him what I wanted to have done, he did the work, and cleaned up after himself. He was good. I didn't pay anything additional.
Description of Work: We had purchased a big deal for Tip Top Maintenance LLC. I am working on a large entry area and hall way, and I have some large and tall walls on the stairwell, and he painted that.

 + -1 moreI called Tip Top, he set a date and time, showed up on time, checked and cleaned all gutters and down spouts, even resecured one of the gutters where the spikes had backed out a little. He was very thorough. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: The gutters needed cleaning and my regular guy was not available but referred Tip Top Maintenance to me.
