My son threw up all over the wall-to- wall carpet. The stain covered a 4-foot area. The smell persisted the next day despite my best clean-up efforts. When I called the carpet cleaner I usually use, I was told that due to a lot of flood calls, they would be unable to come in the next few days. He suggested I call Jim Lombardi. I left a message for Jim explaining my predicament. He called back right away. He explained that he too had a lot of flood calls to deal with, but that since he was working in the neighborhood he would try to come by to take a look at the carpet that day. He came about an hour later. He explained that I needed more than a spot treatment-- that the whole carpet should be cleaned and that he would apply a deodorizer to the areas that smelled particularly bad. He told me to "hang in there" and that he would try to be back to clean the carpet that day-- tomorrow the latest. In a few hours he returned with his assistant to clean the carpet. He was kind, he was patient and the two men did a very thorough job. I have paid less to have the carpet in this room cleaned, but this was an emergency call and I'm pretty sure that Jim spent at least twice as long working on this carpet than others have in the past. The results were very good. The nasty smell disappeared. The overall appearance of the entire carpet is excellent. I had forgotten what it looked like clean. Admittedly, the deodorizer has a persistent perfume-like smell to it that is a bit annoying, but it is dissipating as we air out the room. Here's the kicker. When I intimated that I would call him back at another time to clean the carpets in the rest of the house, Jim let me know that he didn't feel comfortable taking away the business from the company that had referred him to me. You can't find many people like this nowadays. I highly recommend Lombardi as a carpet cleaning service.

They did a good job. We will use them again.
