He was very good and very professional and everything else, but he was a bit pricey. That was my only complaint.

It didn't go well.
I am quite upset as this clock was a gift that my grandparents received sometime between 1912-1916. We took good care of it  and wound it regularly, as needed. It kept good time and struck every quarter hour - it worked well until I took it for a simple cleaning to Carl's Antique Clock Repair.
I am a bit fuzzy on the actual date of the date I left the clock with Carl.

Great service. Another clock repair service looked at the clock and said the entire mechanism had to be repaired at the cost of $ 500.00. Carl looked at the clockworks and said they were cleaned but had to be lubricated. He balanced the clock and regulated the pendulum, and adjusted the striking mechanism. All that at 1/3 the cost of the other service.
He was professional and friendly.
Highly recommended!

Carl responded quickly. Our Sligh grandfather clock needed routine cleaning, adjustment and service. He was knowledgeable and actually explained several facts about this particular clock of which we were unaware. Price was reasonable, compared to past similar service we have had performed by others. Will certainly use him again.

It is best to sit with him when he works. He is knowledgeable and I learned much about how to make my clocks run better by listening. I plan to use him again when I get the clocks cleaned of the old oil which is a more time consuming procedure.

I had received a previous estimate of almost $1000 to repair these 2 clocks. Carl did the repairs for under $200. The job was done quickly. He seems very knowledgeable and was interested in explaining things about each clock that I didn't know. A month later both clocks are keeping perfect time. He even added a knob to the door under the pendulum of one clock (making this easier to open) without my requesting this. He clearly loves clocks.
