My 10 year old over the range microwave convection oven stopped working completely as I was running it in convection mode. I knew it was a crapshoot as to whether to have it repaired or buy a new one given the age of the appliance. But I decided to go ahead and get the diagnosis and estimate which cost 74.95 with tax. Jeff from Service Tech came and after what looked like a thorough examination said the problem was the thermostat and he would get back to me with the estimate later that day. He had to research cost and availability of the part. He did say that given the age of the appliance I had gotten my 'money's worth'. He called me that afternoon and said the total cost for replacement would be $135.00. I decided to go ahead since I was already in for the $75.00 and a new one would cost me $600.00 give or take including installation. The part had to be ordered so the following week another technician came and installed it with no problem for the price given on the estimate. He told me that most of the repair calls he gets for these appliances are for the convection part. He said most people (like me) don't use the convection mode very often and that is actually worse for the appliance leading to grease build up in an inaccessible part of the appliance. My microwave is now working fine but I have decided not to use the convection mode anymore and I don't think I will really miss it. I hope that just using the microwave mode will allow the appliance to last long enough to justify the repair. I also think that when I do have to replace it I will not buy one with convection which adds considerably to the cost (at least as much as the cost of the repair). So I feel I learned something that will save me money in the future. Both technicians were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

Our washing machine could not pump out the water so it could go into the rinse cycle. We called the manufacturer's hotline and they had us do a few silly things and then recommended we call an appliance repairman. We found a highly rated firm, Service-Tech, on Angie's List. We called Service-Tech first thing in the morning. They came as promised at lunch time the same day. In about an hour they replaced the water pump and we were back in business. They were very prompt, had the replacement part on their truck and fixed the machine very quickly.

For the GL dryer the circuit board was removed and wires checked, its working fine now and I have a 30 day service fee warrant if the circuit board fails again and needs to be replaced. He is even going to get back to me on a circuit board price. On the GE refrig/freezer, its old and in garage and just wanted a diagnosis on repair. An animal nest was in the compressor area and was cleaned out, seems to be working again. BONUS!!! Nice, friendly, timely and honest. Thanks Service Tech

This is the third time we have used Service Tech. Unfortunately, for us, all three times were for the same dishwasher, which is only eight years old.
However, this is not their fault, and if we did not like their service, we would not keep calling them. They are easy to contact by telephone and they come when they say they will come. Jeff is very courteous and informative. He explains beforehand, what the problem is and how much it will cost to repair. I find their charges reasonable.
I have no qualms about using them in the future as well as recommending them to others.

The repair person showed up early in the two hour window the company provided. He was pleasant and efficient. The dryer turned out to be more expensive to repair than a 10+ year old machine was worth and the technician was up-front about it. We couldn't get the washing machine to leak now matter what we tried but he assured me there's a 30 day guarantee on the service even though no actual repair was performed. He looked briefly at my stove where the problem is broken 'feet' which level the appliance and said he would call me later with the cost to repair since the parts needed are unusual. He did call later that day. He also offered a simple alternative fix for the problem and didn't charge me for that appliance since it only required a quick look at the outside of the stove.

Contacted Service-Tech on a Saturday and was contacted on Sunday to schedule the work. They arrived promptly on time early Monday morning. The company did not make weekend calls, which was OK with me since we didn't need immediate service.
Our Jenn-Air stove exhaust fan was making a racket... because a kitchen rag had fallen down into the center exhaust area. The service man quickly rectified the problem by disconnecting a vent under the stove and retrieving the errant rag and a lost stove knob as well. While he was there, he also fixed a Bosch dishwasher door latch that was broken and the door would not open. The latch needed to be replaced eventually but because we are planning on replacing the dishwasher, we declined that second repair. When he was checking to see if the dishwasher would complete a cycle, he realized it was not draining. He then disassembled the dishwasher to get at the pump and was able to temporarily get it to "unfreeze". Again, he suggested a needed repair but we declined because we will invest in new model... this Bosch one was at around 20 years or so.
Overall, we were very impressed with their service and would not hesitate to use again or recommend to others.

They are very good. They are always really prompt and you don't have to wait a week. The man was very professional and very courteous. He seemed to know what he was doing. I think it is a small operation because I get the same guy every time. He is very thorough and competent. I have always been satisfied with them.

He was very efficient. I asked him a question about my dishwasher and he had a look at that but didn't charge me anything of that. Overall I was very happy. I called him one day and he was here the next day. I think I couldn't have asked for anything more than that. They are certified service providers.
