They did a fantastic job! Scot made suggestions for the rear deck color since I didn't like what was already there. He was spot on. I love it. The back deck is wood and it's old and not in the best of condition, but he did a great job!
The front porch floor was painted to match my shutters as I requested an it turned out lovely. I have already asked him to look at the house foundation as the paint is peeling and ugly.
"Thank you so much for the positive review! Always happy to work with you! It is our pleasure!!"
"[member name removed], Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We appreciate it, and will continue to do our best for you! Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Sincerely, Scot Rule (& Kathleen Rule)"
Quality of work, really a B+. No drips would of gotten an A. The guys were very punctual everyday. Even though most did not speak English they were polite and seem considerate of the home.
Call again, but late in spring for another job, exterior house painting and another room inside. Spring was wet and he was already behind with exterior work and he really should believe he can't do it all. I know you don't want to turn down work, but telling the truth holds a lot of water. Never got the estimate because he is so busy. I'd rather hear ,"sorry I can't get to it until maybe fall" instead of "I've got a lot of guys and several teams that work for me so I can do it". So where are they? Busy catching up.
"[member name remove], Thank you for your review; we appreciate the high marks! Just want to clarify that we took an extra day b/c that's what it took to do the job right...and as true to my word, we gave you a set price up-front in writing and stuck to it! Also, at the time you paid me in-full in-person I would have gladly sanded out any drips and re-polyed the areas brought to my attention. Or if we didn't notice them right away and you noticed them later...call me! Call me up now or email us and I will still come out to take care of it. A job is not not done until your 100% satisfied! As for the exterior work I came to see you about recently, as we discussed, the stucco has to be repaired first. That requires a carpenter before a painter. All of the good carpenters are very busy this time of year, but I will stay on getting a carpenter to you. I guess it's fair to say that all of the good contractors are always busy "catching up." But glad to do it! We value you as a customer and appreciate your business. We do our best and hold ourselves to a higher standard, but we are not perfect....please remember that we are only an email or phone call away! We'd like to hear from you. Thank you again! Sincerely, Scot Rule (& Kathleen Rule)"

"[Member name removed], Thank you for the awesome review! You are wonderful customers and great people to work for! We always enjoy it. Thank you again! Sincerely, Scot Rule (& Kathleen Rule)"
"Wow, [member name removed], this is very painful to read. It is confusing as well due to several inaccuracies. With all due respect, Kathleen and I pulled your paperwork and found the following to be true and correct: The work you are referring to was from over 5 years ago. September 10, 2008 we gave you a written quote, signed in advance by you- "deck prep and stain" for $735.00 plus tax & "prep/painting of your "dining room, mudroom, cabinet and laundry room" for $1,625.00 plus tax. We completed this work & on 10/3/08 we invoiced you for exactly the amounts we quoted. You had added a "closet" for $75.00 and "foyer and 2 exterior doors" for $1,660.00 plus tax (NOT $2,000.00 as you wrote). We charged you exactly what you agreed to and did not take any money from you up-front; "payment in-full only upon completion and satisfaction of work." When you paid, you said you were very happy. Additionally, you hired us again 6 months later (4/1/09) to power wash your house for $400 plus tax. Lastly, in response to your comment about being "the go-to guy" for painting. Yes, we would like to be that "go-to" company because that means we are doing a good job and making our customers happy as we thought you were. Our prices are fair, especially given the fact that we do more (more prep, more customer service, more complimentary services, more professionalism, more clean-up, more quality hiring, etc) for our customers than any other painters around. We wish you had come directly to us at the time and let us know of your concerns (instead of hearing it more then 5 years later on a site). We will do anything we can within reason to made our customers pleased with the work they pay for. We would like to not lose you as a customer, even now. At the very least, we would request that you correct the factual information of the price and the date; we would appreciate that. Kathleen is sending you copies of all of your paperwork for your reference. Thank you, Scot C Rule, owner"
The work included quite a bit of spackling and sanding, they finished in one day and left our house just as they found it ,clean.
The guys doing the work were polite and professional and took great care their work was perfect.
Scot was a gentleman and his wife Kathleen was a pleasure to deal with.he couldn't finish the exterior work due to the weather
So that will be done as the weather breaks.
Great work really good people.
Plan on using them from now on!!!

The guys came out and cleaned up EVERYTHING each time they came.
They did a great job! We would highly recommend Scot Christopher Rule Painting to anyone, and well worth the money
I felt their attitude was that they were here to make me happy with the work--especially apparent when I discovered I had given them the wrong paint chip number on my diningroom walls. Tried to like it for several days but in the end I knew it had to be redone. There was no complaint, they took it in stride and by the end of the next day the appropriate color was in place.
Scot checked in daily for the most part to make sure the job was progressing as planned and to see if I had any requests. He also personally delivered the final bill and made certain I was completely satisfied with the whole job.
I most certainly would recommend them to anyone. Hats off to Scott Christopher Rule!
"I would absolutely agree with this client that wallpaper removal can be costly and that it can be beneficial financially to the customer to remove as much as possible of the wallpaper yourself due to the sometimes unforeseen difficulty of removal that results in labor hours. We can always step in later in the process to prep and clean walls, resulting in a better price and a very favorable, high quality result."
