It went very well. He went over the piano anatomy with me and identified a crack in the sound board. He explained exactly how he diagnosed the piano and what we would be doing to tune it. He was honest with the potential outcomes and was very careful as he worked. He has a very calm and comfortable demeanor. He is friendly and a hard worker at the same time. He is an experienced player and organist. He grew up taking lessons like so many of us did. After he finished he went over his work and discussed a few keys that he was not able to get just right. I already knew about the keys and had been told the same by another tuner, so there were no surprises. Despite the crack he was able to get the piano tuned and sounding beautiful again. My Grandmother would be very pleased. It is a special family heirloom and has survived moving to at least four different states over the years. I will definitely use him again.

I recently was given a relatively old upright piano.  I made an appointment with Dave Perkins & he arrived right at the scheduled time.  He did a thorough inspection of the piano & noted the defects.  He then tuned the piano.  When he was finished, it sounded brand new.  I also asked Dave if he knew of any piano teachers & he said he would forward a list to me.
