Ken does excellent but communication was poor.

Did not return phone calls and rescheduling was difficult.

Our custom built kitchen cabinets needed adjustments to fit newer (larger) appliances. When Ken was finished, it looked like it was the original build. From the wood used to the stain, everything matched perfectly!

We received an estimate from Ken for the job. The estimate was a preliminary estimate because the work required was three stories up and not entirely visible from the ground or extension ladder.
We agreed on a starting date which which due to a variety of circumstances was pushed back a day. Ken got right to work setting up scaffolding which covered two sides of the house. The job went according to timeline until Ken found water damage on a flat section of the roof. From the ground we did not even know that we had a flat room on part of the house. Ken offerred some options on how to do the repair. We followed his recommendations and the flat room repair added to the timeline but was agreed upon by us in advance.The flat roof was taken down to the studs, new deck installed, waterproof membrane installed and new roofing applied.
Ken was on the job most days. He did have a few days when he was off site but he either advised in advance or in the morning.During the time Ken was working we experienced 95 degree days. Ken worked up to 8 hours straight 3 stories up without a break. He worked some days with an assistant. In general he prefers to work alone.
The craftsmanship was excellent.
We have some additional work required on the house and we have already asked Ken to come back next month.

Everything has been good. I would give him an A. He is conscientious and does high quality work. We trust his judgment and we will be using him again.

Had some weather issues, rain, etc. Had to wait in between appointments for things to dry. Ken is a perfectionist, and did everything exactly the way it is supposed to be. I thought there would be a mess to clean, but there was none at all. He blocked the inside while doing the outside work, and was extremely neat and clean while doing the work on the inside. He was a pleasure to work with, with an old fashioned work ethic, and the skills to go along with it. He is a local guy which is very good. He does great work, and I will use him again.

The final results were better than I would have ever expected. Ken is able to blend the old and the new and has a wonderful eye for making sure the final job will look perfect.
