"I was contracted by Ms. G, not her daughter, to move her on March 1, 2023. When the move was completed, Ms. G signed the bill of lading that all was satisfactory. My secretary asked if I could give her a break because she is elderly. I deducted $250 from her bill. Approximately one week later, Ms. G, or her daughter, posted an unfactual review. On March 12, 2023, my secretary and I went to the residence to address her complaints. Her daughter pointed out a few small scratches on the bar stools. I told her daughter those marks are old but I still offered to have them repaired for no charge. As we were trying to talk to Ms. G, her daughter started screaming profanities at us and continued to scream those vulgar words over and over again. At that point, we decided to leave the residence. I have owned my business for 38 years and have never encountered a more vile display of insulting behavior from anyone. We do our best to please all of our customers, and even though we cannot please everyone, we certainly do try. We wish Ms. G the best in her new home."
"In response to Miss L.'s comments, please be advised that I have been in business for 35 years. I sometimes accompany my crew on moving jobs. I never feel the need to announce myself as the owner of the company. I am on a job to work the same as my crew. I also do not smoke. Miss L. is free to comment as she sees fit, but she should also state that her furniture was very old and some pieces were already damaged. We do not grab furniture by the top or the sides. We properly wrap the item then lift it from the bottom. As far as Miss L.'s bed frame - We immediately told her that we accidentally damaged the frame. According to her contract, she is entitled to $1.00 per pound per item. I sent her a check for $50.00 even though her bed frame did not weigh 50 pounds. We cannot please everyone, but we try. We wish Miss L. happiness in her new apartment."
"Thank you, Robert!"
"Thank you Ama B. If we can help you in the future, please do not hesitate to call.."
"Ms. Lisa C. expressed to me that she wanted to stay within her estimate. I assured her I would do my best and that I would personally be on the job. (I own A-1 Rose Movers, LLC). On the day of the move I added a fifth man to my crew because of her concerns with the time element. After we had cleaned out her house, I sent three of my men outside. My crew chief and I, who have a combined 65 years of moving experience, had great difficulty in moving her headboard from the bedroom. One of my men came came back in the house and told me that Ms. Lisa C. informed him that when the headboard was originally brought into the house, it had to be brought in piece by piece. We are not carpenters but I did not want to leave her without her headboard in her new home so we carefully disassembled the headboard, but there were a few scratches on it from our efforts. I returned to her residence and tried to touch up the scratches but I was not successful. I hired two men from Bronx, NY to come to her residence and fix the scratches. In my absence and without my permission, Ms. Lisa C. had those men repair pre-existing damages on my time. A few days after the repairs were made, Ms. Lisa C. called me after 10 p.m. and told me she was missing a wall picture hook. I purchased a 39 cents package of picture hooks and drove 15 miles out of my way to deliver it. A few days after that she again called me after 10 p.m. and said she wants $180.00 returned because she believes her move would not have exceeded 4 1/2 hours with just four men. I have 32 years moving experience but I guess she knows more about the moving business than I do. I care deeply about my customers; if I didn't, I would not have attempted to disassemble her headboard, nor would I have brought along an extra man to ensure that her bill did not exceed her estimate."
"Lisa, we thank you. If there is anything we can do for you in the future, please do not hesitate to call.."
