Specialty Tile

We looked several places for tile and Specialty was closest to home and they had a larger selection than just about anybody. I went there brousing the place 2 or 3 times, they asked if I needed help, I said no, I wanted to look around myself first and they actually left me alone. Very nice because I don't like store managers to follow me around when I don't have a clue what I want. I want to look around at everything so I know when I buy I have seen everything.
Finally, settled on tile after taking home bunch of samples. Ordered tile from 2 different companies. Bath surround tile from one, floor from another. The floor came in first. They sent a different color than we chose as they don't use the ordered color in this country. It was Italian. Took it home, kept it for a few days but decided the color would just change everything. The tile store sent it back and were able to because it was not what we ordered.
Other tile came in fine. We used it. We were back and forth there buying grout and other materials. We bought 2 shower/tub boxes that recess into the wall. At last minute, 3 or 4 months later, decided one was enough. REturned it. No hassle. Returned grout because it was not what the tile setter wanted. No hassle.
Everything there is very low key. They gave me a llist of tile setters that they had experience with.

Aside from the limitless selection and helpful staff, one of the best things about Specialty Tile is that every tile board contains the sizes available ... and the prices! I find this very helpful. Most other tile stores I've been in do not list prices on their tile boards; you have to go ask them. I believe Specialty does it because they are confident that they are offering their customers the best prices.
