The estimate that George J Keller & Sons LLC Company gave us was lesser because we hadn’t decided on adding the extra set of stairs when they did the estimate. I decided on that after a week later. The people who came out to do the estimate were very nice. They were very prompt and very friendly. They were very good. However, they didn’t show me any samples of materials like another company that came out to do the estimate showed us. I would probably consider them for quotes in the future.

It went very well - what amazed me is that they completed the roof in one day - the fact they showed up on time - completed the roof and clean up. i would reccommend George Keller and Sons for any roofing project you may have.

They were professional and did a good job. They took care of the complete job; whatever needed to be done, they did.

Excellent! An A isn't high enough for these guys - this was an A+ job. From the inital estimate to the completed project George Keller and Sons continually impressed me with their skill, knowledge, professionalism, quality and integrity. Dan Keller did the initial estimate and it was the most professional, thorough estimate I received. After meeting with Dan I was so impressed I wanted to go with Keller and Sons but since it was a big job I did get several estimates. One was lower but they weren't using the same quality of materials - for example, they were going to nail the decking instead of screwing it. That's a lot less work and materials cost - make sure you're comparing apples to apples when getting a deck estimate. The others were higher and didn't include costs such as a removing the wood from the old deck - I would have to pay for and arrange the dumpster. Dan Keller's estimate was the only one that spelled out exactly what type and quality of materials would be used and what was included in the job. He took the time to answer all my questions and discuss all the different options. There's no sales pressure whatsoever with Keller and Sons either. As soon as I had the permit, Mike Keller had the job scheduled within a few days and the crew showed up like clockwork every day. They'd come at 7:45,set up, and were in full swing by 8AM. They worked long and hard every day and would set up lights and keep going even after dark. We had some really bad weather days with snow and rain when it was impossible to work. They crew worked extra hard and long on the good days to get the job done. I can't say enough about the crew - they were fantastic! They are experts at building decks and the quality of their work is impeccable. The cold was brutal when they were working but the quality of their work never waiverd and no detail was overlooked. They were such nice guys and it was a pleasure to have them working here. They really went above and beyond my expectations on everything they did. I highly recommend George Keller and Sons. After seeing the quality of their work, I'm having them come back to give me estimates now on several other jobs to repair and correct work that other contractors did. If every contractor worked like this one, we wouldn't need Angie's list anymore. I'm very glad we have it now though because that's where I found these guys.

They have been great. They did the estimate quickly and they emailed it and mailed me a copy of the contract to sign. Everything was done quickly and they were very nice about it. They have been very helpful.

The shingles started sliding off in late summer. The first contractors I called advised me to find the roofer who did the roof replacement for my late husband in 1996. I found them. They were very nice, remembered my husband, and scheduled an estimate for two weeks later, but they forgot me. When I called they came a week later, even tacked plastic over the missing shingles. The estimate however contained a roof maintenance plan and way more expensive than I thought. This bewildered me. I called others but no one could come for an estimate for almost a month, and it was already late October. That's when I signed up for Angie's list. My original contractor was listed, and although the quality of their work was rated well, I noticed that size of their typical job was very large compared to mine, so I guessed they were not a good fit for me. I found and called Keller. I hesitated talking to the voice mail at first, but the call was returned in a day. The estimate was done in 3 days and the contract mailed to me in less than a week. They also gave me the cell number of the person in charge of my job. The work had to be scheduled according to weather, because it was now mid November, which I understood. They came when they said. They didn't get the satellite dish on the first pass, but it was done soon after. The roof has help up well. The price was a little high but not unreasonable, and probably earned for doing roofing in December. I will call them again if I need.

It leaks the same way onto my patio. They had someone else put the gutter on and they left a space. It looks bad. I called them and they were nasty. They moved it up a little. I was very dissatisfied.

They have a typical receptionist and then the salesperson called me back a week later and then a week after that came out to give the estimate. He said we had asbestosis however it was really just a different type of siding. The salesperson did not seem knowledgeable. I was not happy with the estimating process.

Excellent and very professional from start to finish. The sales person was the only one who actually went up on the roof to give me the estimate. The other two only looked at the roof from the ground. The sales person was also the only one of the three that told me that I might be eligible for a 15% federal income tax credit if I selected a certain color shingle. The others did not mention the tax credit at all. They offered bank financing which I ultimately chose not to use. Once I sent them my deposit, the work was scheduled for the following week. On the day the job was done, the crew arrived at 7:30 and got right to work setting up tarps to protect my house and landscaping. The crew were all very friendly and hard-working. They tore off the existing shingles and other matierials and installed the new materials on the roof. They cleaned up everything before they left. When I returned home that day, I had a new roof and there was no trash or mess. I would recommend them without hesitation and will use them again if I need siding or a deck.

Justin came to the house to measure and talk to us about the company. He then provided us with an estimate via email the next day. Throughout the process, he had been very responsive to our questions and even came by several times to drop off samples. The prices he quoted us were very reasonable. We would've gone with them, but we were not 100% sure on the PlyGem windows that they carry. PlyGem is a big company, so we're sure that in the end they would've been great. We just ended up deciding to go with something different and a little more expensive. The other company has not installed the windows yet so we do not know if we will regret this decision. Overall, A+ on the professionalism of Justin. If we have any future needs (hopefully not siding and windows... maybe roofing?) we will certainly give them a call.

Keller responded quickly to initial phone call. Estimate was prompt and competitive, although not cheapest. We decided to choose Keller due to other positive feedback. Glad we did because we could not have asked for a better job. They came on exactly the day they said, worked very hard, long hours, and got the job finished on time. Great guys. Extremely polite and dedicated.

Of the 4 companies I approached ,this was the most professional proposal. The contract was arranged through Dan Keller. He came across as very honest and he laid out all the options well. The job was then arranged with his brother and performed promptly and efficiently. Some of the repair to the woodwork was almost not performed if my wife had not been present, but this was just a miscommunication and it was then done well and quickly. These people follow through and get back to you when they say they will. Thoroughly recommend them.

We had seen George Keller and Sons do a number of roofs in our neighborhood over the years and decided to contact them for an estimate along with a few other places. Dan Keller came out to do the estimate and we were impressed by his knowledge and thorough answers. We sought his opinion on a number of items (re-roof or tear-off and replace, etc.) and he gave objective answers and offered to price out the various combinations so that could make the decision for ourselves if we'd like to pursue certain options. In the end, given their reputation in the neighborhood and a more than reasonable price, we signed on with G.J. Keller and Sons. The skylights were put in a day or two before the roof and looked greate from the start. The crew that arrived to do the roof work came on-time, and worked quickly. In a matter of hours the old roof had been ripped off and started to lay the new roof. When they were done, they swept the whole area, removed all debris and even run a huge magent around the house pick up any loose nails. We had a older skylight (probably 20+ years) in the back of the house which we were concerned about and it did end up having a small leak with the first rain storm. I called G.J. Keller and Sons and they came out promptly to investigate and made sure that the older skylight would no longer give us any issues. Overall, these guys know what they're doing and they do it well which is why most new roofs in our sub-division were put in by G.J. Keller and Sons.

I don't understand how a company like this can do business. How does anyone in business succeed if they can't follow up. Even if they don't want the job they can call back and explain that they are too busy or the job is not worth their time. So tired of contractors that don't know how to run a business.

Great job! Great service - great price! I usually obtain three quotes. They were BY FAR the lowest - in fact, I almost didn't go with them because I was concerned when the other contractors said, "no way - can they do it at that price" Well, they did - and i compared apples to apples - same materials - same everything. They brought a dumpster, started early - finished same day. Very pleased!

Overall had a very positive experience. The company is very professional and thorough and did a great job on the deck!

The salesman was punctual, physically inspected and explained the procedure. Subsequently, I received an e-mail with the estimate and help in chosing the proper shingle color. Once I informed them that they were chosen to do the job, I received a contract via e-mail which I signed and returned. Within days I received confirmation and a phone call from an owner to schedule the job. On the date promised, the workers showd up @ 7:30 and the job was completed by early afternoon. Later in that day, an owner toured the property checking that the job was done correctly and making sure that all debris was picked up. We are completely satisfied with this contractor, plan upon calling upon them again for work on windows/deck and would strongly recommend them to others.

Upon recommendation of a friend of mine and the great reviews on Angie's list, I hired George Keller and Sons to replace the roof on my home and garage. Mike came out and took a look at the job and explained in detail all of the work that was to be performed. Within 2 days I had the estimate in my hand. The quote from Keller and sons was in line with a quote from a local contractor who does roofing and siding, but I decided to use Keller and sons because of my friend's recommendation. I was given a timeframe for the job and the crew arrived at at 7am on the promised day. Within 10 minutes of arrival, they were already on the roof setting up the staking and tenting. Within 30 minutes of arrival they were already stripping off the roof on the house. I couldn't believe the speed and efficiency of the crew. They were like a well oiled machine. I work from home so I was able to watch the whole process from start to finish. No corners were cut. The dumpster arrived about 9am and the crew was careful to lay down plywood so the wheels of the large dumpster didn't damage the driveway. The crew completed re-roofing the house and garage in one day. They would have been done even sooner, but my house has some roof details which were time consuming to measure and cut shingles for. At the end of the day, everything was cleaned up spotless. They went over the whole property with a magnet to pick up any nails. I was worried about nails in the driveway, but I didn't find any when I double and triple checked (the tires on my car are expensive!) Since the roof job, we've had a couple days where it has rained heavily in thunderstorms and as you would expect with a brand new roof, no leaks! I would definitely hire Keller and sons again.

Flawless execution. They came out to look at the roof and provided a complete and detailed estimate within a week of our initial call. They responded quickly to my calls and answered my questions regarding the bid. After choosing Keller (I obtained three other estimates), I requested that they get the roof done within two weeks because I had other contractors scheduled to come for exterior cleaning and painting work. This was a challenging request given the number of rainy days we were having off and on during that time. They showed up within two weeks and completed the job in a single day. They were so thorough in protecting the house and cleaning up after themselves that you wouldn't have known they had been there except for seeing the new shingles. We actually had several storms with high winds right after the job was completed and have had no problems with the new shingles holding down or leaks. We are thoroughly satisfied with the quality of the work and the fair price. Dan and Mike Keller and their team are very professional and operate with integrity. Their terms for deposit and final payment are very reasonable, which is often not the case with contractors in NJ. I have had too many contractors request 50% deposits which I view as outrageous.

They did a good job on the roof. I did call them back because there was a large gap between the roof and the gutters where squirrels were getting into the attic and I wanted them to take a look at that. They said they would be out that week and haven't come back yet. The roof work was good and they cleaned up. The price seemed a little high, but I had nothing to compare it to. I need to call them back again.

I was extremly happy with this company. From the initial estimate until the work was complete (over two years) the communication was great and they never blew me off. Once we agreed on a price and start date, they showed up on time and completed the job in 4 hours. Very good job and they cleaned up really well.

I called them 4/6/10 to speak to someone about my leaky roof. Theu promised to call within 24 hours. Someone finally called after 48 hours on 4/8/10. Unfortunately I missed the call, I called right back and left my number for them to call me back. No response 24 hours later.
