Dan returned my call in a very prompt courteous manner and arrived precisely as promised. He repaired the leak (near vent pipe flange) on my roof which had caused a some water damage in the bathroom. In addition to fixing the problem he sealed some other vulnerable areas he found upon inspecting the entire roof. We had work done by them 2 1/2 years ago and he hadn't forgotten that. When I offered to pay for his time & repair, he said it was complimentary as I was a good customer. This certainly made my day :-) I will not hesitate to call Dan back for future services, and when the time comes to replace the roof one day he'll be the first to know.

The reason I choose George Keller for the roof replacement was because of their salesman. He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions. Their price was in the middle of 3 estimates but I still decide to choose them. In general, I suppose they did a good job replacing my roof, but this is not something I can check on. However, I did have few issues with their service. 1) On the job day, the first thing we found out that they were at our house was the banging on the roof. I know we did not have to be home but it would be nice if they just try knocking on the door and say "Hi, we are here." 2) They had some area covered with fabric and others not and a lot of garbage were just dumped on my deck. So I wanted to ask someone a question. I called Mike since he was the project manager. I was taken back when I asked if he was going to be here at any point and he answered "You probably never going to see me." Basically, anything I asked the answer was "My guys know what they are doing" which means, don't ask any question. Until I was upset with him and telling him that for $16000 job, I am entitled to ask some questions and get some answers. So he sent his dad to stop by 3 hours later. He gave me the exact same line: "My guys know what they are doing." 3) After a day and half, the guys left. I received a bill for final balance 3 days later. This job includes putting the mash cover on the gutter. Lucky for me, there is a little corner of my house where I can see the gutter and I noticed there was no cover. I emailed them asking about the cover, Only then, I was told someone would be here in couple days. I truely believe that if I did not ask, no one was going to come. 4) I had a roof fan installed as part of the job. Not only "the guys who know what they are doing" threw away the box, instruction, they also threw away some parts as well, I did not know until the electrician asked me if I had centain part while connecting the wires. Mike eventually did drop off the missing part at my front door few days later but my electrician was already gone and it's an extra hassle and cost to get the electrician back again. Over all, they did try to correct all the problem, but I feel I should not have these problems to begin with.

When Sandy hit my area it ripped some of my roof and some siding off. During a time like that you find people who try to rip you off. I called 13 companies just to get someone to put a trap over hole in the roof that Sandy left. The company that I THOUGHT was helping me out didn,t do a good job. In all I had to have that section cover 4 times do to the high winds and rain . Which cost each time it had to be cover.So in time like this you hope to find someone that you can trust and hope that they have your best interest at heart.With damage so heavy all around in the state you know companies can pick and chose the customs they wanted to deal with.I started right away looking for a company that I hope I will feel good about. But I was looking for a company that can do the roof, siding and the overhang. After checking out a couple of roofing companies. A friend had seen a Ad on his PC about George Keller and Sons and said I should check them out. I checked out the site for George Keller and Sons and after looking and listing to the Ad. I e-mail them on November 9th/2012 and Dan Keller responsed within that day. I explain to him what had happen and what I need have done.I asked him could I e-mail him photos of the roof which I had one of the other roofing company to take the photos. Dan also looked up my house through goggle to see the roof..I cancel out dealing with the other companies I had In mind. But, I join Angie"s List inorder to check out George Keller and Sons because my house was built in the 1800 and I wanted to have it back the way it was before Sandy. I spoke with Dan and he said they would take the job and ensure me that they have done many flat roofs and that was importance. Because everyone can't do flat roofs right. On January 14,2013 I signed the contract with Dan Keller and give hime a $500.00 down payment. Then problems with the insurance company question the cost, but Dan Keller went toe to toe with them and I got to the figure that I could except.The weather played a major part that why they started on Feburary 28th/13. Ms. Patty , who run the office is outstanding, she kept me inform when they will or will not be coming and I am grateful to her.Mr. Applebee and his crew arrived on time and the only time they took a break was lunchtime. The job was done in one day and this was only pharse one which I didn't know. I had to wait until May 1st until pharse two, the siding and the overhang to be done I understand this due to the weather. But again, thanks to Ms. Patty for keeping me up to date. When the siding crew came and they were on time. The siding they replace I add extra cases in my basement. But they did a wonderful job, I guest at this time I can say "good things come to those who wait' SOMETIMES. After the work was completed I was hoping that Dan or Mike which I never met would call or if they are in the area to stop by and check out the completed project. So I e-mail Dan , and express my thoughts, do your company do p.r. follow up with homeowner? I hope that you do. You have an outstanding person in Ms.Patty Glassford who is in charge of your office. I like the way she follow up with customer and keep them inform on their appointments. In respect to Dan, he e-mailed me to thank me for choosing his company. And don't hesitate to contact him if I have question or need service. But, I still hoping they will stop by to see my beautiful home they help put back in order. So far with all the rain we have had and still having the roof is holding up. But, they did a wonderful job in pharse one and in pharse two.

It was very unprofessional and wasted my time. They could have at least called me to let me know what was going on.

They were very professional. They showed up on time and they did most of the work in one day. They came back for a couple of hours the next day.

G Keller was very responsive. Our roof had a hole in it as a result of Hurricane Sandy. They did their estimate within a week of the hurricane and the repair work was completed within another week. They matched our shingles, replaced the underlying plywood and had the whole job done at top quality. We couldn't have asked for better service. I'd strongly recommend G Keller to anyone looking for roofing work!

We are very happy with the work George J. Keller & Sons did for us. We obtained three quotes, one was from Power Home Remodeling at $22,230 (outrageous. Do not even consider them), the second from Finish Line at $9,180 and the Keller quote at $9,116. We chose Keller, not because it was the lowest price. Rather we were impressed with the presentation and the company.Keller is a GAF Master Elite certified roofer and a well established company. (This is important because if a contractor does not pay the supplier, you can end up with a lien on your house.) The salesman (Brendan) walked our roof, took pictures with his Ipad while up there and gave us a straightforward sales presentation with no BS and no attempt to upsell us on things we did not need. The crew showed up at 7:30 AM a few weeks later (email contacts during the interim regarding scheduling, etc., and what to expect) and the job was completed before 3PM the same day. Our roof is beautiful. I would not hesitate to do business with these people again.

Horrible. They don't return calls or emails. They don't keep their promises. One of the owners, Mike Keller, was completely unprofessional and rude. I couldn't believe their unprofessionalism. After finally receiving a quote we didn't use them simply because their customer service was one of the worst we'd ever seen.

It went extremely well. While we did not hire Keller & Sons to do the job, Dan was punctual, patient, and answered any and all of my questions we asked him. The estimate we received a few days later was thorough, detailed, and done completely to our specifications. We didn't end up hiring Keller & Sons due to putting a hold on the project until later in the year.

Initially satisfied with the work done until we later discovered that they drove a 3" nail through our A/C freon line when installing the chimney cricket which cost an additional $1900 to repair. When I called to report this issue, I was told that that contract states that they 'were not responsible for any damage caused by penetrating nails to A/C lines". When I sent them pictures of the damage, their response was that "we make the presumption that the line set was installed in a manner to avoid being penetrated either from the top or below. If we were aware that it was in an improper position we certainly would have let you know that it was susceptible to puncture." Since the riser containing the A/C lines is less than 10 inches from the chimney, it certainly would not have hurt for them to take a look inside the attic to see exactly where the lines ran or, at the very least, advise us to check the lines to insure that there would not be a problem so we could have taken preventative measure to avoid the damage. If the nail didn't miss the frame on the cricket, which they said called for their using 3 inch nails, the nail would not have penetrated inside the roof over 2 1/2 inches and would have cleared any A/C lines. Was impressed by initial contact with sales rep who came and showed detailed pictures of steps involved in replacing a roof. On the day of the installation, they came on time although I was originally told that our work was scheduled for an earlier date. Installed heavy duty tarps along the gutter line to catch debris. Removed existing shingles. Installed ice & water shield on all gutter edges. Installed 6 nails per shingle, new pipe flanges on all roof plumbing vent pipes, and ridge caps on all ridges. Removed all debris and removed any loose nails. Knocked off light by back door when removing shingles. They re-attahced the light, but not flush to siding. All work was completed in one day. Have had some heavy rains since the installation and no leaks. Satisfied with the quality of the workmanship on installing the shingles, but obviously not happy with the A/C issue. Have gotten a number of positive comments from neighbors on the look of our new roof.

The crew arrived early and began scraping off the old roof. Once the roof by the skylight was removed, the old skylight was removed and the new one was installed. The crew then spent the rest of the day installing the new roof. I had a concern about mold over the garage and the crew spent about 30 minutes removing and replacing a piece of plywood over the garage. Overall, the crew did a great job and we're very happy with the new roof.

I received several quotes from contractors for replacement of the siding and windows in my home. I wanted one contractor to do both. When George Keller & Sons came to the house to evaluate the job, they performed a complete inspection after which we sat down and discussed various options including specific details on how the work was to be performed. The quote they prepared provided a breakdown of the various components of the work, with separate pricing. This made it easy to see where I was spending my money. Their pricing was reasonable. Other contractors gave a lump sum price with no breakdown. The work was originally supposed to start mid October. However, it wasn't done until mid December. I'm sure some of the delay was probably related to hurricane Sandy. It is my understanding that George Keller & Sons subcontracts the actual work out to specialized crews. Once the schedule was finally set, both the crew they sent for the windows and the crew for the siding came when they were scheduled. The work they performed was professional and went without any significant issues. All the work was performed as per the contract. As the work progressed, I was asked anytime a question came up regarding how I specifically wanted some detail done that was not addressed in the contract. If I found something I didn't like, it was immediately corrected. About a month after the work was finished, I noticed that a few of the windows had a seal missing along one of its edges. This was a manufacturing defect and not related to the work by George Keller & Sons. I placed one call to George Keller & Sons and the manufacturer's rep called me back directly several days later. The problem was corrected. All in all, I give George Keller & Sons an excellent rating and will surely give them the opportunity to bid on any additional work needed on my house.

They were excellent. The roof looks very good and they cleaned up well. The project did get delayed a while due to Sandy back-log, but in the end the work was done well. I was very happy with their service.

After talking with all of the contractors, we ranked George Keller at the top of our list - knowledge, professionalism, timeliness of service, quality and background of people working on the project. Unfortunately, when we got the estimate, the estimate was also the most expensive. We called them and, to their credit, they reworked the estimate for a less expensive set of specs and materials. However, even after "Round 2", they were still the most expensive. We wound up choosing another contractor from our original list and are happy with the results.

The price was very reasonable; i paid half of it up front and half of it after the work was completed. I had a couple of issues, but the manager and team addressed them right away. I was very happy with their service and would suggest them again.

Finally, the workmanship was very good, Keller and sons were very honest and did not charge for anything extra, only lacking slightly in terms of communication.

Unfortunately, I can not say my experience was the best. My husband was happy with the price and the quality is acceptable but not over the top. There was absolutely no customer service. After the roof was done my house was not put back the way is was found. Items was left out of place for example the BBQ was moved away from the house and not put back where it was originally. Material was left on my lawn without a note, call or email letting us know when the gutters or siding were going to be done. I basically felt I was not a priority and where there was availability my house was the fill in. The owner or representative never came back or called to see if I we were happy with the job or overall experience. Next thing I know I receive the invoice in the mail requesting the remaining part of the payment. Poor customer service. I will not be recommending.

They handled all my questions and issues that came up. I was very pleased with not only the service but the quality of the work. The company was very easy to work with and communication was great. I think that people should feel very comfortable working with them. I had asphalt shingles installed.

I called the company on 2/28/13 to try to get an estimate. They called back on 3/1 to tell me that somebody would call me back in 24-48 hours so that I could schedule an estimate. At that time I told them it was urgent as my roof was already leaking. They finally called back on 3/8/13 over 1 week after my initial call. Since 2/28/13, I've been able to get four other estimates and already contracted with one of them. Disappointed with their lack of responsiveness and will not call again in the future.

After months of estimates Kellers price and quality SEEMED right for the job. A job duration of 2 weeks was guaranteed by Brendan with a handshake at the signing of the contract. Over 2 months was the actual duration of the job!!!!!The job dragged on forever due to the constant lack of communication between Brendan, Mike Jr. the owner, and the actual contractors working! The 2 skilled workers performing the labor were absolutely on the money. I wish the same could be said for the management! From the beginning of the job the guys never let me know when they would start! The deck was installed 15x18 instead of 17x15! Then when Brendan and Mike Jr. Were confronted with the screwup they tried to talk me in circles. Mike Jr. said " I guess no good deed goes unpunished." In other words since they didn't have the correct size deck installed the first time and it was unproportionately bigger I should be greatful for that. The fact that I had them correct the size which cost him a days labor for the 2 contractors I was given an attitude and told that this cost him a lot of extra $. I thought I was the customer? One of the sliders had French pane and the other was traditional. The doors were installed in the the wrong rooms. When confronted with the fact that they were installed backward they promptly fixed them! Now the job seemed to plod along at a snails pace. Sometimes the guys would come on the weekend with no warning. One time I caught one of the workers taking a leak next to my shed even though I left the door open for them to use my bathroom. The workers were greatly skilled and only did what the boss ordered them too. One worker named Buddy was unbelievable in his attention to detail. I told the workers to get there own business because the management really let me down! I never met the real owner of the company Mike Sr. I only dealt with the unprofessionalism of JUNIOR, And his friend BRENDAN who never apologized for there behavior. I don't think Dad built his company blaming his customers for his messes. He probably just fixed them and kept on working! Initially I was going to use this a sample project with Keller and the have all new windows and siding installed. NOT ANYMORE!!!!! MIKE REILLY

The initial salesperson was good. There were a few communication issues but it was around the time of the hurricane so that might have caused the delay. They were able to complete the job within one day. The work was done well. They cleaned up well after the project.

.Came on time and finished job in one day. Very professional and trustworthy. Estimate was exactly amount paid. They covered the house and cleaned up when they left. Beautiful job.

Absolutley perferct!!! From start of the estimate to the finished results these guys where very professional. I had snow on my roof when they came. They shoveled off the snow to do the work!!! The roof looks great and will last many years. No pressure on payment. An invoice was sent to my address. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

I was extremely pleased with their service. They were very clean. They let us purchase the window from somewhere else and they installed it. They came when they said they would. They were great.
