"Member, I apologize for our less than timely response to your request for a price. Our goal is to not only meet but exceed our customers and potential customer’s expectations. I have discussed your experience with Rob Driscoll. My message to Rob, moving forward his response time and follow up must be not only timely but performed with a sense of urgency. I can’t undo what has been done but would like to explain some of the challenges we experienced in the days following tropical storm Sandy. After the storm we were without power and phone service for 15 business days. Adding to our frustrations, our server crashed more than once resulting in lost data and prevented many emails and faxes from going out. "Member, Thank you for choosing Eastern Contractor Services LLC to be your spray foam provider and I appreciate your feedback. Since we performed your job an additional field supervisor has been added to our team. This supervisor is tasked with quality control and customer satisfaction and we know this addition to our field staff will improve the service we provide. Furthermore we are continually training and coaching our spray foam applicators to improve where needed. Our operations manager met with those who worked in your home and reviewed what your experience and what is required of them and failure to meet the requirements will not be tolerated. Regarding the window foam – We use low expansion window foam to insulate the space between the window frame and framing. The fact is that if the entire cavity between the window and framing is filled there is a very good chance the foam will put excessive pressure on the window frame preventing it from working properly. Our installers are instructed to use a small bead of low expansion foam around the windows; just enough to seal the void but not fill it. Filling the void can and in many cases have a negative effect on the window. Last, the equipment – Although many improvements have been made to spray foam proportioning equipment over the past few years it is still not an exact science. The foam industry is challenged with proportioning equipment that can work perfect one day and create problems the next. We combat this through ongoing applicator technical training and up-grades to our equipment. We recently completed a total overhaul of the equipment on 2 of our spray foam rigs and are in the process of building a brand new mobile foam proportioning rig. I would like to comment on the installers who worked in your home and did not speak English very well. Unfortunately it is very hard to find English speaking young people who want to do this kind of work. Furthermore the insulation industry (like many other construction trades) is challenged with customers demand the greatest bang for the buck. In order to remain a viable construction service provider we must explore every opportunity to cut our costs. Fortunately for us and the market hard working Latinos are more than happy to perform this type of work at a wage the market will bear.
