Cavanaugh's Pest Control

Overall, we had an OK experience. Cavanaugh's price was the lowest of all the services we called, and it appears that the problem has been resolved - so that is good. However, there was an irritating bit of miscommunication: when I called to get the quote, we were told by the call rep that the service included extermination (spraying with pesticide) and physical removal/disposal of the nest. They stated that the technician would bag up the nest and leave with it. However, the technician who came out to do the work said that he would not be removing the nest, as he didn't bring any container to put it in. He said that we could remove it ourselves after one week. I called management at that time to ask for clarification and safety tips (i.e., what do we do if we detect that there are still yellow jackets in the compost bin? Do we need to take any specific precautions with handling the pesticide soaked compost bin contents?). They took my message but never returned my call. The technician seemed professional and experienced, but could not communicate the process to us clearly. Bottom line is: the problem seems resolved (I haven't seen any yellow jackets buzzing around the bin) and I don't mind removing the exterminated nest myself, but it would have been better if they told me the correct information up front and/or returned my call to apologize for the confusion and provide clarification.

I was not happy with the provided last time. I have a contract with them and they are supposed to come every 2 months and they never came. They didn't come unless I called and its supposed to be every quarter or 3 or 4 times a year and you call if you have extra problems in between. It was a year and they didn't come. There are different offices and this one I give them a B rating. For price, from what I am hearing they are about average but maybe a bit high. Responsiveness, i give them a C because when I did call they did come.
