In 2012, following superstorm Sandy, my garage roof started to leak. I filed a claim with my homeowner’s insurance company (NJ Manufacturers) and received a settlement. I called a few local roofing contractors and selected Russo Gutter. I liked your salesperson, and your price was right. I contracted with Russo Gutter to replace the roof and install new gutter extensions above my garage and family room, which were damaged during the storm. Your price was quoted to me as $1700. As I recall, you charged me an extra charge for replacing of a few sheets of plywood above my garage under the leaky roof. You performed the roofing job while I was at work. When I came home, I noticed that you installed new gutter extensions above the roof over my garage and family room. I was under the impression that I had a brand-new roof above my garage and family room. Recently, I noticed a leak in the back of my garage roof. I called Russo Gutter. I requested a warranty consideration and was told the back roof was not covered. I was quoted $1300 for the repair of the back garage roof. I called a second roofing contractor for an estimate and was informed that the back garage and the family room roof were never repaired. They had the original 2-layer roof on it. The roof shingles were never replaced as I thought. The bottom line is Russo Gutter fooled me. In spite of my verbal discussion with the Russo salesman that you will replace the roofing shingles above my garage and family room. You only replaced to shingles above the front section of my garage roof. Yes, you installed new gutter extensions above my garage and family room roof as promised, but you failed to install new shingles above the entire garage and family room roof as we agreed upon. Live and learn. The next time I have a roofing job done. I will be present to verify that all contracted work was actually being done. By puling this type of dishonest trick, you made some extra money, but you lost me, one of your loyal customers. I will never do business with Russo Gutter again!!!

Russo did a great job and I am very happy with their service. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job quickly. They took away all the old materials and left everything neat and clean. They have subsequently cleaned the gutters and I will continue to use them for that.

Crew came onto the property and did the work quickly, but without ringing the bell or knocking. I finally realized the dog wasn't barking at the mailman and went outside to find them already done. (It was a small job!) But they should have let me know they were on the property. One section of the gutter wasn't pitched correctly and sagged in the middle, which was revealed as soon as it rained and accumulated water. I called the office and they were responsive, and sent a different crew who fixed the problem within a week.

Professional and fast

The offer was for $360 for the first 100 linear feet and 4$ for each additional foot period. There was nothing stating and extra 5 ft. for every inside or outside corner. So the estimate came back as 500 linear ft. @ $2,300. Based on the Offer which was very specific, should have been $1,320. My measurements were 240 linear ft. of gutters and 100ft for downspouts totaling 340 linear ft. My house is basically a rectangle, 58' x 36', my measurements are spot on and not even close to 500 lf, Sales rep had a lot of reasons to justify his numbers, maybe the average joe would have bought into but to me it was all smoke... Bait & Switch I believe they call it, don't expect them to live up to the $360 deal as it's written...

There were problems from the beginning. After the first appointment, we found that the the gutter covers were removed, but discarded. The contract called for removal and reinstallation of the gutter covers. Upon inspection, we found that the gutter covers had been removed and discarded. The contractor had to return, reclean the gutters and replace the covers with new covers. This work was done in November and December. Less than six months later, our gutters started overflowing during a significant rainfall in two locations as they did prior to our $350 gutter tuneup. We had actually noticed this problem earlier but thought that this was an isolated issue. We wanted to wait for another heavy rainfall when we were home to see the problem as it occurred. When we called Russo about three weeks ago to advise of this problem, we were told there is no warranty on gutter tuneups or resets and advised that only new installations were guaranteed.We were told that we would be a $125 minimum service fee for the contractor to come out and address the problem. Customers should be aware that this contractor does not stand behind its maintenance jobs. We will now have to pay another contractor to do the repairs on work that should have been taken care of during the two trips to the house to perform the work. We wanted to to use a local contractor rather than some unknown out of county contractor that probably would have been less expensive. Customers should be advised to request a contract that spells out every detail including whether the work is guaranteed, and for what period of time.
