A wonderful place!!! I have been talking my dog here for the last 4 years. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and the doctors are knowledgeable and professional. I recently had my 10 year old dog's teeth cleaned and I was kept informed about how she was doing every step of the way. It did not matter if I was talking to the reductionist , the vet tech or the veterinarian herself - everyone was helpful. Dr. Sharin has always answered all of my questions as well as treated my pet with excellent care.

I have been a customer at Barnside Veterinary Hospital since 2008. Dr. Sharin has taken EXCELLENT care of my dog including vaccinations, teeth cleaning (with anesthesia), hernia surgery, and even caring for a broken foot! She is compassionate, professional, and honest. She takes the time to explain conditions in terms that the average person understands. She thoroughly answers all questions and makes sure the owner is aware of what the pet is experiencing and explains the options for courses of action and the pros/cons to help the owner to make an informed decision in the best interest of the pet. Dr. Sharin returns phone calls in a timely manner and follows up with alternate providers if necessary. (Example: I was referred to a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital during more than one emergency instance and Dr. Sharin followed up with the doctors at the other facility.) Overall, Dr. Sharin provides EXCEPTIONAL care and I would highly recommend her.
Barnside Veterinary Hospital, as a facility, is extremely clean. The atmosphere is inviting for pets of all kinds. The waiting area consists of various hampster and rodent tanks, a large fish tank, and even birds. The tanks/cages are kept very clean and you can tell the pets are well cared for. You can sit and watch them while you wait your turn to be seen. There is a customer restroom but I've never used it so I can't offer my opinion on it's functionality/cleanliness. I've never utilized the boarding services but they offer luxury boarding that offers cameras you can view from the internet to check on your pet while you are away. If there was one thing I would suggest changing is the benches for customers to sit on. They are wooden park-like benches and although they fit with the atmosphere, they are quite uncomfortable, especially when you have to sit and wait for test results or if she has an emergency and the wait for your turn is longer than average.
Pricing is comparable to other veterinarians. Barnside also price matches with 1-800-PetMeds. The support staff (technicians, receptionists, etc) are all extremely helpful, professional, kind, and LOVE animals. Overall, I would highly recommend Barnside Vet Hospital to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, knowledgeable veterinarian (and staff) to care for their non-human family members!
