A-General Plumbing and sewer Service

Called at 10:00 AM and spoke with Michelle. I was very clear that I needed the job to be done today so that the water would drain away overnight. She told me that someone would be out in late morning or early afternoon. Waited until 2:00 PM and called to see if someone was still going to make it and was assured that someone would. Called again around 3:00 noting the urgency of the situation and the impending darkness which would make the job impossible to complete. Was reassured once again that a repairman was on his way from a town nearby (a 15 minute or less local drive). Called again around 3:40 and was told that the worker would be there in a few minutes. The gentleman arrived at 3:50 and immediately expressed concern about being able to do the job before it was too dark to see. At 4:20, went to the truck to find the serviceman talking to the office about the complexity of the job and the time constraint. Dispatcher made excuses for not getting anyone to me in a timely manner and offered to send someone out in the morning. HOWEVER, there would be no guarantee that my job would be a priority in the morning. Needless to say, I declined the offer and called another company--something I would have done at 10:00 AM if I had been told that there was no guarantee that anyone could get to my job during the day.
