+ -1 moreElio and his staff are always the easiest people to get along with on the job and make my job easier by working so patiently with my other subcontractors, some of whom can be difficult at times. In the past I have had to constantly watch over contractors' work to make sure errors weren't made and corners weren't cut. Not only is Elio extremely competent and honest, he has saved me money on numerous occasions by finding better ways of doing things. At least once a week I would get a phone call saying, "You know I was thinking about it last night and it would be better if we did it this way." Elio is extremely pleasant, as well, and his vast experience makes difficult projects much easier. I can't say enough about how good he is, and he's become a friend.
Description of Work: Elio and his crew have done outstanding work for me over the last two years in Montclair, West Orange, Caldwell and Verona. I have been renovating houses since 1998 and have worked with dozens of contractors. Never have I worked with anyone as hard working, conscientious and pleasant as Elio. The first project was a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and basement gut and rehab. They did so well that I continued to use them, most recently to renovate a whole house, including turning a bedroom into a master bath and laundry, expanding the bedroom, gutting and expanding the kitchen, and exterior work like rebuilding a 2nd floor porch. See the amazing before and after pictures below! He has also repaired 110-year-old pocket doors in my house and they work like new. Elio is excellent with general construction but particularly good with detail, finish carpentry. He also knows lots of good subcontractors and is good at coordinating with them to get the job done more quickly.
