RJA replaced my central air unit in March of 2019. I was referred to the firm by my in-laws who had nothing but good things to say about their experience replacing an AC unit in 2011. I’m pleased to report that eight years later, Rocco (principal) and the team at RJA Heating and Cooling still deliver exceptional service. I received three other quotes from large retail (i.e., big box) stores that came with high-pressure sales pitches. It was refreshing to review the project with Rocco, as he’s respectful and straightforward. RJA’s pricing is very competitive and the owner is on-site during the installation. The crew left my house clean and the unit is working great. I fully endorse RJA and would recommend their services to friends and family without any concerns.

RJA Heating & Cooling recently installed a new furnace in our home's attic which replaced an older leaking unit. For a variety of reasons, the project was very complex and the workspace was very tight. After reviewing the guts of the furnace to determine if a repair was possible, Rocco and his team determined that a full replacement was necessary. Throughout the process, Rocco was extremely professional, responsive, straight-forward and very fair. Additionally, his team was courteous, efficient and they took extra measures to make sure their efforts did not disrupt our home in any manner. For example, the team made sure to place protective drop cloths throughout the work area and they put shoe covers on upon entering the home. Bottom line, I was extremely satisfied with the job performed by RJA Heating and will certainly recommend Rocco and his colleagues to anyone who needs HVAC services.

Rocco (the owner) responded to my call immediately and was at my house within an hour. He quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem. Fortunately it was nothing major and he was able to fix things without the need for parts or significant manpower - the fee was basically for the service call. His promptness and professionalism were much appreciated especially given the situation (no heat in the middle of winter). Since I had just recently moved into the house, he also took the time to walk through both of my HVAC systems and assess their condition. He inspected the units and ancillary parts and made some valuable suggestions regarding the existing humidifiers and duct work and the potential for adding air purification units. Within a couple of days, he provided me with an estimate of all the work we discussed with a detailed breakdown by project, so that I can implement things by priority and cost. I will be sure to follow up with RJA when I am ready to proceed.

We bought our first house in Bloomfield and needed to install a new central air system including all the ductwork. We obtained price quotes for the project from several companies. RJA Heating & Cooling were somewhere in the middle of the price range, but we decided to hire them and never regretted the choice. Here are the top three reasons why:

2. The quality of work was outstanding. Even the town building inspector was very impressed and praised the installation work.
All of the construction permits were closed without any issues. 
3. The installation team did all the work with great attention even to the smallest details. Everything looked very clean and neat, i.e. there were no loose wires sticking out and all of the supply lines were hidden underneath professionally installed covers.
For these reasons I would strongly recommend to contact RJA Heating & Cooling for your A/C installation needs. We will certainly call them back to install a new split in the addition.

Out of 6 quotes for a complete AC installation, RJA Heating & Cooling provided the best quote, and was able to accommodate all custom needs (helped finding a well designed mini-split, and a condenser that worked with the house layout). They did an excellent job during the installation, even with a last minute move of the mini-split. Very professional, and easy to work with. Highly recommended
