the installation seem to go well but the Heating in my radiators is uneven now. the kitchen and back bedroom area radiators get much hotter than the rest of the house. they won't come back to adjust it unless I pay $158. This has been going on since the end of last winter. so now I have to keep my thermostat 6 degrees hotter than I used to with oil. and the kitchen area is too hot!

"Dear Mr [Member Name Removed], i just got finished reviewing your job history it states that you have been having this issue since last winter. The first time Par-Troy has ever been out to your home was on 5/18/18 and the original reason was for a non operating boiler. When our technician arrived you were interested in getting an oil to gas burner conversion which the burner was installed the same day and everything was to your satisfaction. Then on 6/8/18 we received a call stating that your radiators were not working. We dispatched one of our technicians to you at no charge and the technician then adjusted the vents at no charge. The next conversation we had was when you called into the office on 11/9/18 and you stated that you were having issues with your radiators. As per the conversation we had no problem sending a technician to your house that day to look at the issue. Mike explained to you if the issue had anything to do with the conversion there would be no charge to you. But if it was a new issue there would be a service charge of $158. You then stated to Mike that you wanted someone to come out to give you a free estimate of what work would need to be done because you felt that since we did the conversion you shouldn't be charged for any other additional work. As Mike explained to you we don't give free estimate for service calls but we are willing to come out to take a look and if it has to do with the work we did there would be no charge. If there is new work that needs to be done we are willing to waive the service fee of $158 if you decided to go with the repairs. If you change your mind and still want us to come out please contact the office. Thank You and Have a Great Day!"

I have a contract. They attempt to sell us longer lasting more advanced filters. They need to stop pushing for the filters since we have already said no. Par Troy bought out York and they made sure we got a good price on the contract.

I have had problems with my unit, and I am not sure if they are capable of trouble shooting the issue. I had them work for me, they did a nice installation, but they don't seem to have the proper resources to trouble shoot the unit. There is a warranty, but for the 5 years that I have had this unit, they haven't been able to resolve the issue, where it airs out in the middle of the winter, and you have to go downstairs maybe 4 or 5 times during the winter and reset your unit. I got an extended warranty from them, and a life warranty on certain parts.

The workman was Marco. He is a real gentle soul. He was very thorough and helpful and takes a lot of pride in his work. He went over everything that he had done in a way that I could understand without making me feel dumb. I had actually just cold called Par-Troy because I was dissatisfied with the lack of courtesy from my original Furnace Company guy. The old company that I employed had installed the York central air system in the 1st place and those guys weren't that bad, but their service guy was very brusque and grouchy. I finally realized that I didn't necessarily have to have the Furnace serviced by the company who installed the thing, and I am so glad I did. Marco went the extra mile and patiently explained the best place to get filters and reminded me to change the filters every 2 months or so. I would highly recommend this Company.
