I called Monday, made an appointment for Tuesday. The technician came on schedule and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

The problem was diagnosed quickly and it was an easy fix. The tech had been there once before to repair this freezer, and I like when the same serviceperson comes out, they are familiar with the appliance.

 I asked for some type of estimate.... but he kept repeating we use a flat price based on the problem. However they could not tell me a price for this repair even though they knew the part [over temp sensor] was the repair.
He told me they use a price book which we did not have..... apparently only the repair guys [drivers] have this mystical flat price book.
IDK why they could not me a range... finally they game me a $350 price for replacing the computer; an unrelated repair. How does that help me.
My wife called another company on Angies list and they give her a price estimate repair along with their hourly rate if it went beyond what was stated and a 10% Angies list discount... hum, seems to be the winner. lets see how it goes
BTW, They where prompt to answer the phone and did offer to come the same day.....
I would have given them a try but I was not comfortable with the mysterious pricing structure

They did what was required. They're a very good company. They were cooperative, timely and they have reasonable price.

It went well overall.   The problem with the oven started right before Thanksgiving, which was bad timing - they were able to squeeze us in and get there before Thanksgiving, but they couldn't do the repair as they needed to order parts.    The only mishap was that a couple of times they told us they would come on a certain day, but then they didn't have one of the parts - this happened once or twice.   The one time they were good about calling to let me know -  the other time I had to call them to find out.     But once everything was scheduled, they did quality work.    I believe, but have no way of verifying, that the repair was fairly priced  - just based on conversations with others.   Overall I would recommend Astre -  mostly for the simple reason that you get a human being on the phone most of the time when you call.   And secondly its a family owned business that's been around for 45 years, so you have to figure they know what they're doing.

Kurtis from Astre Appliance Service handled my job. He was very professional and experienced. I had smelled burning from the dryer, and he confirmed that lint had built up and was burning underneath the dryer. He was very honest in explaining the charges based on what we needed to do. He also explained that he/the company does not handle duct service and I appreciated his information. When I opted to handle some of the cleaning myself, he explained step-by-step how to do it (an easy job which would have been an additional and needless charge if I had had him do it). I was very happy with the help he provided.

My refrigerator was leaking every time it dispensed water. Astre came promptly and pinpointed the problem quickly and fixed it.

My dishwasher just stopped working. I thought a fuse went but when I flipped the fuses it still did not work. Astre came the same day (live in same town). And fixed it. It was a loose wire. Got it working quickly.

WE HAD SEARS COME AND 'FIX' IT TWICE. KEPT BREAKING DOWN. SEARS IS TERRIBLE, THEY MAKE APPOINTMENTS THAT THEY DON'T KEEP. UNPROFESSIONAL, RANDOM PEOPLE. THESE GUYS WERE TERRIFIC

All went well, but man, expensive!!

My 12-year old Dacor gas range was taking too long to reach temperature. Rudy, the repairman, replaced the igniter and the range now works beautifully. He arrived on time, was professional, neat and clean. The job took about 30 minutes. I had another issue with my range as well as the range exhaust fan. Rudy took down the information. Anthony, at their office, researched the problems and within a week called me back. They gave me estimates for these repairs which were reasonable. I will be using Astre again for these repairs. This company is very responsive and their charges are reasonable. I recommend them.

Overall i would not work with them again. I think his attitude was very rude and their pricing was high and not clearly explained before coming down.

It went very well. As I described above, it was a short and efficient visit.

I dealt with them before with parts because I can usually fix things myself. They are very nice. It was an expensive lesson but I think fair. I value places where I can walk in and they know what they are talking about and can share, and they do that.

My sister just bought a house in Fairfield (right down the street from my own). She had water spitting out from the front she called astre appliance which is the local repair company. They came right away which was the next day since we called them late in the day they couldn't come till the next day, Anthony called me in the morning and gave me a window of 12-2 the tech Kurtis came out and knew right away the valve wasn't closing and water was always running into the dishwasher. He drained all the water for us removed the dishwasher and replaced the valve. GREAT!! :)

Had a big problem! My fridge wasn't cooling or freezing this morning, I was loosing food I called astre and spoke with a Maddy and she did her best to get me on the schedule right away, luckily they had a cancellation and they were able to put me in and within 2 hours I had a tech at my house and he installed a new board on my GE refrigerator.

Service was excellent. Anthony responded to repair request quickly after I sent. He called and explained everything and was very accommodating. He was able to get a technician out on the same day. Technician arrived promptly and was very knowledgeable. He walked me thru each step of repair and answered all of my questions. He was very helpful. Also, I was able to get my refrigerator checked on same day, he gave estimate and analysis and even though I didn't have him do the repairs, he still fixed broken door and gave me recommendations. He was very honest and I found out that repairs were very costly, so makes more sense to buy a new one. So they actually saved me money. I would Highly recommend them and I know that I will be using them for all of my future appliance repairs. Excellent customer service. Anthony was great.
