These guys are a bunch of quacks! They bled us for money for years and we trusted them. They misdiagnosed our dog, who later died of pancreatic cysts. They gave her a B12 and a fatomide shot and pushed her out the door, and said "good luck." They got angry when we went to another vet for a second opinion and are now lying to rescues about how we took care of out dog!

They have exceptional customer service. They only take care of dogs and cats; they don't take care of exotic animals.

We got in to see the vet very quickly. He said we could do a bunch of (expensive) imaging tests to try to figure out what was wrong or we could treat the symptoms and do a parasite test for a lot less money. I shudder to think what the expensive route would have cost since we wound up paying $260 for the cheaper option. He gave her a bunch of drugs which seemed to calm her system. Truth be told, she had started eating and acting more normally right before we took her in anyway, so it's hard to tell if the medicine made the difference or not. The next day they told me the parasite test had come back negative. I continued to give my dog the drugs as instructed for the next 2 weeks. She was sick again within the month, this time with much more severe diarrhea and eventually blood in her stool. Because it was a Sunday, we took her to an emergency vet. That vet ran a parasite test and said she was FILLED with hookworms. We asked how long she might have had them, and he said possibly more than a year. We were very disappointed with the Animal Hospital of Fairfield for not finding the parasites the first time. We will not be returning.

I WAS NOT VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS VET. THE INSIDE OF THE FACILITY WAS DIRTY. THEY HAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY DID NOT TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF THE DOGS.
