This company is phenomenal! The owner and staff are true professionals. The owner called me numerous times to find a mutually convenient time for the move. Peter, the owner, quoted me a tentative price and then stopped by to confirm the price which he quoted. The two prices were the same. The movers were friendly and professional. The move was completed extremely quickly. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them in the future

I was totally satisfied. I would highly recommend Ferraro. I have nothing bad to say about them at all. Everything went well. Everything was labeled and everything was in great shape. I can't say anything negative about them.

Price was higher than most, but professionalism, care, handling of difficult furniture, etc.  all excellent.  Move took them much longer than they anticipated -- they brought out extra men and kept it going.

Everything went well.  They were late in arriving as I believe they went to fuel up the truck, but they finished within the time quoted.
The men were willing to  set up the furniture anyway we wanted.They were very accommodating

Peter came to the house and advised us on the procedure.  He spoke directly to the manufacturer to find out the details and special handling needed.  He followed up with the shipper when they "lost" it for a day.  He kept us informed on the shipping progress.  It was a tight squeeze with special handling and Peter and his men did an excellent job.  We would definitely use Ferraro Moving if we ever moved.

They provide everything. Including the 2 days of packing and moving, it's probably about $5500. They wrap it in special paper and they do whatever you ask. I've used them 2 times in the past and they are very good. For price, they are pretty reasonable and their price is what they said it's going to be, they don't tell you the price and then they'll change it.

My wife and I (and 2 1/12 yr old) had a great experience using Peter Ferraro.  We needed to move out of our condo on 5/29/13 to stay with family, and then we didn't move into our new house until 7/19/13 so we also used Peter Ferraro to store our furniture and other property for almost 2 months since they have their own storage facility. 
I had researched and gotten quotes from around 7 reputable moving companies in southern Rockland County/Northern NJ and Peter Ferraro was comparable with the lowest quotes I received.  Peter (the owner) came to our condo to do an onsite estimate of the move and estimated it would take about 5 1/2 hrs.  Even when I told him we may use another moving company, Peter still volunteered to call a 3rd party storage facility to get us a deal on a unit.  Judging by his honesty and favorable quote, we ended up choosing Peter Ferraro.
We were quoted for 5 1/2 hrs, but the move-out came in at 5 hrs, so it was less than what we were quoted for.  The foreman (P.J. who I believe is a family member) was very friendly as were the other 3 workers.  They barely took any breaks and P.J. made sure that the entire opertaion went smoothly and that all of our requests were met.
The move-in to our new house also took the 5 hr minimum, so there was no additional amount than what was quoted.  The foreman on that job was another family member (Phil) and he had two different workers with him.  Once again the entire job went smoothly and my wife and I had no issues at all with the result.  All of our furniture and other belongings were in the same condition as they were when we had put them into storage two months prior.
So, after using Peter Ferraro for two moves, having to store our furniture and other property at their facility for two months, dealing with 2 different foremen, 5 different other workers and Peter himself, I can say I'm glad I did my research and chose Peter Ferraro for our moves.  The total move (which includes 2 5-hr moves with $75 in insurance for each and 2 months of storage) came to about $2,500.  The $970 I referenced above would be for a normal 5-hr move with insurance.
Moving was stressful on its own when there weren't any issues and Peter Ferraro made sure to ease that burden.  They are an honest family-run business that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.  We have family friends that are moving this month (August 2013) and I instantly recommended Peter Ferraro to them (who I believe they will end up using).

The movers arrived on time for our first move. The manager on the job (PJ) walked through the house with us to determine what was to be loaded onto the truck and what wasn't, he was very thorough and he and his team did an excellent job. They worked quickly and were very professional and polite. When they were done, it took approximately 3.5 hours to pack our entire house, PJ reviewed the details of our inventory list, as well as contact information and next steps in the process. The day we moved into our new home the movers arrived ahead of schedule and again worked very quickly. All of our belongings arrived intact with no damage to speak of. We would definitely use Peter Ferraro again and recommend them to anyone in need of moving and storage services.

My experience was very good.  They were very fair.  They were prompt and courteous.  They came in under budget.  They were the lowest.

I can't say enough about them.  They came at the EXACT time they said they would; they were so pleasant and professional.  It was a very tight squeeze to get the furniture out and they were so careful about removing and replacing my doors.  Even though it was a small move, just a few things for my daughter's move to an apartment, they treated it was if it was their top priority.  As a small aside, a friend of my daughter is moving out of the same complex and into a house nearby, and he told her he was also using your services.  He was very happy to hear of our great experience.  Would not hesitate to recommend Peter Ferraro movers!

From the estimate to the actual move, did a great job. Nothing was damaged. Moved our 2-bedroom house from river edge to oradell with no problems.

A team of three men loaded the truck with all my belongings in just over two hours. They were courtious, effecient and polite. Prior to their arrival, I had packed all my personal items such as kitchenware and clothing in boxes. Any store such as Lowe's has moving boxes and packing materials that will help you with your move. Remember to wrap any fragile items in bubble wrap or protective paper and be sure to label the box with the contents. I had about 50 boxes and having the boxes labeled really helped when I moved into my new home. The Ferraro team drove to the storage facilty and unloaded the truck. Everything was placed in a 10 x 15 storage locker and remained there for 11 days. After that time, a second moving company moved all my belongings out of storage, onto the truck and into my new home. After the move in, I discovered the hardware for my full-size bed was missing. I called Peter Ferraro and he returned my call early Monday morning. He drove all the way up to Poughkeepsie to replace the missing hardware and re-assemble my bed. He really went out of his way to correct an unforseen problem. This was my first moving experience. My advice for anyone planning to move: pack everything carefully and label all boxes. Use pillows and towels to cushion each box. Make sure each box is firmly closed with packing tape. Also be sure there is not too much empty space near the top of each box. A word of advice if you want to fully protect your furniture, wrap all pieces in protective shipping plastic or bubble wrap. This professional grade of protection is available in most hardware stores or storage facilities that sell moving supplies. Also, secure all draws in place with duct tape, this will prevent dresser draws from falling out during transport. I learned from my first moving experience that it's worth the added expense of buying the right supplies if you want to keep your furniture and belongs in good condition.
