Moe has a long background in really high end audio/video installations and the expertise he brought taught me a lot and I really felt in good hands. He had really good knowledge on both the home theater component solutions I needed / owned as well as the ability how to organize them and 'hide' them. He was great on handling the wires and in wall components - it was delicately and expertly done. He made suggestions that would improve my system and stuck with me for a long day to get everything on my wishlist done.
I could not be happier and would vouch for Moe to anyone. He earned this recommendation in spades.

Family room setup involved 55 inch TV on a wall mount with sound bar installed. The work involved installing the wall mount for 55 inch TV, installing the soundbar right below the TV, connecting Apple TV, cablebox and Wii console to the TV via HDMI cables.
Basement setup involved an 80 inch TV wall mounted to the right level and precision, setting up 5.1 surround sound system including calibration of the sound, connecting cable box, Apple TV and Blu-ray DVD player to the Yamaha RX1000 receiver. The challenging part of this setup was mounting the 80 inch TV to the wall mount. Even though Mo did all the work by himself, the only time he needed help from us was to lift such a big TV and attaching it to the installed mount.
He did a great job and was very very professional. By his work, I can tell that he has very good experience and knows what he does. I will strongly recommend him to anyone.

To the bargain hunters: this is not the cheapest company in town, but they are the only one that provides this level of service and their prices are transparent for labor and product. If you are hunting for bargain basement service look elsewhere (and suffer the frustration). I will certainly be calling again for both service and new equipment.
To the other home theater companies: Service and maintenance after the sale matters, a lot; The AV technology curve is flattening, meaning both hard and software are not changing as rapidly as they were 5 years ago, and new system sales and installs are slowing as a result. The lions share of this business is going to go to whomever provides the best service and transparent pricing.
He was right on time, did the work quick and was able to handle some last minute requests, best of all the job he did looks great. I would absolutely use him again for any further home theater needs.

My finished basement was destroyed by ground water after Hurricane Irene in 2011 and I decided to fix it up and create a library and home theater. I knew nothing at all about how to select and install TV, speakers and Blu-Ray, etc. components and decided to leave it to a specialist. I found Moe Eskenazi of Home Theater Crew through Thumbtack.com. He gave me great advice on what kind of LED TV to buy and explained what would be involved in a home theater installation. He bought components for me promptly at good discounts (I reviewed and confirmed all the prices on line). He spent a whole day at my house, installed everything including surround-sound speakers and the cable connection, hard wired my TV and components to my router and made sure everything was working, and taught me how to use the universal remote. He cleaned up and took trash away (other than some of the boxes to save for 30 days in case flaws show up that would require an item to be returned). The next day, i got a message window on the TV that wouldn't go away - Moe walked me through fixing it over the phone, and when another unforeseen issue cropped up the next day, he came back and spent a few more hours ironing out the kinks. His work is guaranteed for one year and he has even emailed me to ask how things are going. The cost I stated is only that of his labor, not the components I purchased. I feel very lucky to have found Moe and want to recommend him very highly especially if, like me, you do not have the skills to do this kind of sophisticated job yourself and are somewhat fearful of being taken for a ride. I feel that the work was excellent, the results are exactly what i was hoping for, the cost for Moe's expertise and advice was fair, and he was a pleasure to work with.
