Straight Edge Painting and Wood Restoration

We hired Jodi and her team to paint every square inch of a 5,100 square foot home. I did not know how much of an undertaking that was, but now I do. From the first phone call, I knew that Jodi was the right fit for us. She was patient, friendly, and willing to hear me out about my vision for the home. She was always accessible and helped me with color choices and entertained particular requests (I wanted to use a particular type of caulk - no problem for Jodi. And no upcharge). It takes weeks to paint every wall in a home of this size and Jodi & team were flexible with me on timing and worked around the timelines of other contractors. They were onsite when we had an unfortunate water leak incident in the basement and they stopped their work to help us out, even offering to go get supplies from Home Depot to fix the leak. My husband was not there and I really appreciated that. As in any paint job, there will be little imperfections and corrections needed. The real test of a good painter is how they respond to that, and let me tell you, they were patient with me as I pointed out areas of concern. Jodi came onsite several days that she was not planning to, just to address my concerns. They did not nickel and dime me at ALL, which is very easy for a contractor to do when you are making requests mid-job. I ended up paying exactly what we initially agreed to but I would say that they did more work than they agreed to. The end result is beautiful! We would hire them again 100%

Awesome , Awesome, Awesome ! ( Did I say “Awesome”?) A really fabulous customer experience and a fantastic job done! Having Jodi and her crew paint our house was like having family help out ! There is passion , heart and soul here, in the work that they do. No “ cookie cutter” approach for this crew! We chose a darker color for our mainly stucco/ multi textured house. And right from the start Jodi shared our vision and made it come true! She advised us on product and educated us on how it would look ( like black suede) and it does! Her team worked non-stop until the job was completed to our satisfaction and advised us of “extras” that she threw in at no cost ! Her estimate was fair and without any hidden fees or extras! Very very satisfied with the results and will go back to Jodi for advice and assistance forever! We are now SEPWR big fans!

The work by Jodi and her Str8edge Team is impeccable. They take great care to smooth out all of the little imperfections in the walls which include old drips, dings, nicks, etc. All of the edges are clean and crisp. The care taken to ensure that the walls are fully and properly prepared and painted is better than any other painters I've ever hired before. We've had damage from water where the sheetrock had to be removed and the big hole in the wall or ceiling cannot even be detected anymore - amazing repair work with that. And her team of workers are all friendly and courteous.

Jodi and her team did an amazing job. The colors came out great and the repair work that was needed was above my expectations. It was a tough job because some of the rooms had mix and match textures which were not easy to line up. She came up with a way to get a good medium in place. After the work was done, we noticed some issues with crackling in the paint. Jodi touched it up but it came back. She worked closely with us as well as the paint vendor to remedy the situation and get us back to 100% extremely quickly. Jodi & her team do amazing work, and I'm very happy she was patient with us when small things kept being found in the paint.

Listen, you guys read a lot of reviews… Jody and her team were the best I have ever seen in 30 years of homeownership. Their attention to detail, cheer, sense of humor and quality workmanship came together for the best outcome I’ve ever seen. If you think I’m exaggerating, contact me through Angie’s List. The price was more than reasonable, so much that I felt I was getting much more than I paid for. Hire them, you won’t regret it, in fact you will be over the moon like me.

Straight Edge Painting and Wood was hired to paint the new home we purchased. Jodi was friendly and informative concerning the paint quality and ideas overall. As a new owner full of ideas I had the experience working with her of being on one of those home improvement shows, which I love. What impressed us most was when a accident happened with one of her main crew men just days before our job was to start. What could have been pushed back to the Fall was only pushed back to the weekend as she worked diligently to find a new crew to complete the job. When we came home it was like we stepped into a brand new home. They also took down our old dated shutters and replaced them for us. Everything looked so fresh. I look forward to working in other projects in the future.
