Terrific moving company! We had a complicated move, involving storage for an uncertain number of days, but they were very accommodating, and charged us a reasonable amount. Lou was a pleasure to work with and assigned to us a really wonderful moving crew, both for the move out, and again for the move in days later. We LOVED that this company recycles boxes. They shared with us whatever used boxes they had on hand (including several large wardrobe boxes) free of charge. We were sure to return the favor and save all our good boxes, including ones we had bought at Lowe's and elsewhere, continuing the chain. Because the company also picks up the boxes for free, our new place was instantly free of clutter. Best of all, this is an independent family-owned company--in our minds always important to support. Enthusiastically recommend!

It went well. It was an interstate move. Lou, the owner and his crews were excellent. Working as a Real Estate Agent, I have seen and heard of horror stories, especially with interstate moves. No such problems with Lou and Princeton Van. It was a pleasure having them as movers.

If you value your time this is not the mover for you. They were 7 hours late to pack me up on Friday, with no calls to me (I had to chase them around). Saturday they were supposed to move my household items to storage but they never showed up or called. At 3:00 pm when I had been calling for hours they said they could move me Monday.
No! I had to go to work. So they showed up on Sunday but the crew smelled of booze and frankly mostly looked as if they had been recruited from a street corner. One of them dragged my unwrapped oriental wool carpet across the dirty garage floor until I told him to stop.
Because I was angry with all this, the owner gave me three months of free storage.
When I moved into the new house the crew was better but one of my boxes never showed up. I called to tell the owner that my summer clothes did not arrive and he just laughed and said I would find them, which having unpacked everything, I never did. I chose this company in part because they said they knew how to move my grandfather clock, but the wires inside are completely tangled by their handling.  Bottom line, I would never use them again.

Lou, the owner, was very responsive in returning my call, scheduling a date, and emailing me an estimate. He himself picked a Saturday to do the move, which I thought was unusual. Nonetheless, I accepted the date. The quote seemed suspiciously low to me.
On the day of the move, the crew chief telephoned me to say that they were on their way. The load-out went okay other than the fact that crew left behind a table and lamp which I later had to go back and retrieve from the property I moved out of. Luckily, both items fit in my car. The load-in was uneventful except for the fact that when they approached their quitting time, the crew got a little careless and failed to re-assemble a table top which they had previously taken off. I was left to re-install the counter top, which weighs about 100 pounds.
The worst part of the day is when the move was completed. I initialed the time when the crew went off the clock and the crew chief computed the actual bill. The actual cost was $305 more than the estimate. Worse yet, the crew chief informed me that I would have to pay in cash because it was a Saturday. He claimed that he informed me of this when he called earlier in the morning; however, I don't recall hearing that. How on earth was I supposed to come up with cash on a Saturday afternoon AFTER the banks were closed? (My daily ATM limit is set by me for $500 per day for security purpose.) Furthermore, how was I supposed to know in advance how much cash to withdraw without knowing the ultimate cost?
I showed the crew chief the owner's quote. Nowhere on it was any statement saying that I would be constrained to pay in cash simply because it was a Saturday. The crew chief and owner had a discussion by telephone and the owner finally acquiesced and accepted my check.
The actual move and the professionalism of the crew were acceptable. However, I am very dissatisfied with the surprise when it was time to pay. Not only was the quote a real lowball figure, but I am very suspicious of any company who only accepts cash. At this point, I am unsure whether I would use these movers again. To their credit, I did receive a discount for mentioning Angie's List.

I had shared my last moving nightmare and was very nervous about this move.
This was the best moving experience you could ask for. They were prompt, professional and Lou really cared about making this a good experience for me. When I called to schedule my delivery after storage he worked with me as far as having the same crew and the date I needed.
The price was fair and he responded to my phone calls promptly. It was great working with this company and I highly recommend them.

They were very good. I used them from the last house to this house but I wasn't going to use them with this house to the next house because they're a little more expensive than I wanted. We have no furniture so we moved in to like almost a furnished house so they did my couches and my dining room table and the piano so they did a really good job. There was nothing broken. They were within estimate and so I have no complaints from them. They were pretty good. They supplied me with all my packing stuff which was really good. We moved from Princeton to Princeton. I would recommend them.

I was extremely pleased. We had a very large move. We moved into a house that is almost 6,000 square feet. They packed everything. The price was really unbeatable. At first I thought it was too good to be true. I interviewed around 4 other movers, some big name ones. They all came in $3,000-$4,000 more for their binding price. I couldn't believe how much I could save so I went with Princeton Van Service and crossed my fingers. Well, I couldn't have been happier. This was our 8th move in 14 years. We have had many movers pack and move us and I really have to say that Princeton Van Service was the best of them all. They were very professional, from the time Lou came for the estimate to the day the unloaded the trucks. I still haven't finished unpacking everything but what I have unpacked so far has not been damaged. Everything was very carefully packed. You could tell they have been trained to properly pack. They wrapped most furniture items. There was some minor damage on 2 or 3 pieces of furniture but I guess that is expected with such a large move. I should have made sure they wrapped every piece of furniture. The guys were great. They were so nice. I really could not have been happier. I would highly recommend them. You will get the best price and most professional crew. I would absolutely use them again and I hope my review will help their business. They deserve praise. Thank you Princeton Van Service!!!

Louis moved out all my furniture, with great care, moved it all back in with great care. Moving a Baby Grand Piano back into a home that just had all the hardwood floors re finished is a gentle task, but it was done with great ease, his men are professional and everthing was done with amazing care, I would highly recommend this company for any type of move or moving and storage.

Best moving experience I have ever had. It was a long 8 hour day with 2 stops and not only did they wrap each item perfectly and stow it properly on the truck, but the very personable 4 man crew went out of their way to fix things my previous mover had damaged and/or not put together correctly. They were the hardest working moving crew I have had and were experienced men with knowledge of how to do things right - not young kids who didn't care. Amazing!

They are efficient as well as courteous. Everything was in perfect condition. The selling of my house was delayed and by the time Princeton Van got here it was too late to move in so they had to take it all back to New Jersey. They inherited problems and solved them. It was a very difficult move with moving heavy furniture over a wall. They didn't complain. They just did great and think they should be acknowledged.
