It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. Found Rich online. I needed a 2 week turn around which was near impossible and Rich had it done in a week. The fabric selection was amazing and the quality of the workmanship was beyond my expectations. True professionals and craftsmen. It was competitively priced and certainly worth every penny. I have antique chairs I will drop off later this month. Rich will now be my “guy” for upholstery. .i will also admit I am OCD when it comes to decor and I am 110% over the moon with the finished product. It was a pleasure to do business with Rich.

Our 27 year old leather sleeper sofa had seen better days. After shopping for a new one, we couldn't find the quality we wanted that was at a break the bank price. After seeing all the great reviews here for Peroni's. All the reviews were spot on! They converted to sofa, replace the seats with new foam and new leather, created a new trim around the base from the tears from various moves, added stuffing to backs and arms, and cleaned and conditioned. It looks better and sits better than any of the couches we could have bought new! We couldn't be more pleased with the results and the whole transaction with Peroni's. They are professional and truly awesome! The price below includes pick up and delivery and we are 60 miles from the shop.

WOW WOW WOW!!! Peroni's just delivered my 25-year old tired, brown wood china cabinet that is now newley black laquered.....with a burnt orange backing. IT LOOKS FANTASTIC!!!! (See photo.) They did an EXCELLENT JOB!! This cabinet is a beast....it's huge, heavy and solid wood. It looked so old-fashioned and stodgy and traditional that I wanted to change it up and make it look more fresh and modern. AND BOY DOES IT!!!!! There is a lot of detail on this piece...inlaid glass doors with wood surrounds, lots of hardware on the bottom where all the drawers are, and dental molding at the top. And Peroni's has finished it to perfection. It is smooth with no paint-brush marks....really perfect. And I am a very critical girl! They also black-lacquered an antique bar cart and finished it with a beautiful piece of fabric on the top and bottom shelves then laid a piece of glass on top of each. All removable so I can change it up if I ever want to. This is the 3td time I have used Peroni's. I have had them do upholstery work in the past. I didn't know they did furniture refinishing until I called to see if they knew anyone who did! All I can say is that they have exceeded my expectations on every job. I am beyond happy. If you have an older piece of furniture that you want to breath new life into CALL PERONI'S!!!!!! I already have them lined up for another project!!! THANK YOU PERONI'S!!!!!!

I visited Peroni's to select me fabtic. They allowed me to take fabric books home to make my choices. The chair looks lovely - exactly right for the living room. These people are real craftsmen. A visit is well worth it to see some of the amazing projects they are doing. Another suggestion, don't wait for emails or try to communicate via text. These people are super busy with no office staff. Call ahead and call for status. Rich is very responsive to voice communication.

Overall, was not happy. I am a very reasonable person and rarely post negative reviews. But I made the mistake of thinking this company was a top-notch restorer of antique furniture based on Angie's List and based on my conversation with Mr. Peroni. Unfortunately that was not the case. I gave them a 100 year old gorgeous solid wood armoire that needed various fixes ... they did do a decent job on a couple of the problem areas but unfortunately they completely botched the inlay and failed completely in fixing one important element. I had to question the delivery guy as to why that part wasn't fixed and he tried valiantly to explain something about the joints but wasn't very convincing in his knowledge. If in fact it was not fixable for some reason, Mr. Peroni should have called me and informed me himself (and lowered the price accordingly). He also informed me after the fact that they had to send the piece to someone else (??) to do the inlay work ... had I known that, I probably wouldn't have hired him. This is an old piece and I didn't want it shipped all over New Jersey. And, as mentioned earlier, the inlay was botched with putty that didn't match the original color and was not even straight. They also applied a high gloss polyurethane, which I did not request nor want. Had he asked me before taking that step, I would have told him not to do it. Though Mr. Peroni sounds friendly enough on the phone, his communication was more than lacking. I gave him the piece in November, 2016 ... and finally got it back 9 months later. And the bill was $300 more than we had agreed. He told me he had to do extra work such as the interior of the drawers which I never asked him to work on. I don't think he should call himself an expert restorer of older / antique furniture. If you aren't able to do a job correctly, you shouldn't present yourself as someone who can. Or, at the very least, if you are having trouble with any aspect of the job, call the customer and tell them. And ask before doing something that wasn't requested. He may be fine as an upholsterer, but I wouldn't recommend him for any kind of restoration work on older wood pieces.
Response from Peroni's Upholstery and RestorPro Services

"I'm sorry that mrs peterson was unhappy! The piece looked great and was finished with polyeurethane varnish and brass fittings were polished. We removed all the old drawer lining shelf paper that was stuck to it and sanded and refinished it. I thought it was great and the price was reasonable at 1300. I cant match the missing antique inlay exactly in any event and wish that she could appreciate the beauty of that piece after it was finished. I have photos of this piece and it looks awesome. Sometimes you can't please someone even after doing your best. I took an old worn out piece and gave it new life by hand restoring it . The part that was replaced by the wood mill is the only thing not done in our shop and we did have to wait a couple months for it to be made causing a slight delay. I wish I had made her 100% satisfied but sometimes you can't please everyone. We have restored 100's of old pieces and will always do a top notch job!"

THANK GOD I FINALLY FOUND A FABULOUS UPHOLSTERY SHOP!!! We recently moved here and I had so many things that needed mending because I never found a good place in our former town. I am SO pleased with Peroni's. They do EXCELLENT work - and I am extremely exacting - plus they are the nicest group of people too!! I had to move clear across the country to find a good upholsterer. I have used them twice and they are now and forever my "go to" upholsterers (and rug cleaner)!

Could not agree on a price, so I ended up going with another vendor. Peroni's initially wanted $1,000 to redo the cushions on two chairs, not including fabric, which seemed kind of steep to me. After I balked, he agreed to lower the price slightly, but in the end I found someone else to do it for $200.
Response from Peroni's Upholstery and RestorPro Services

"Reupholstery of dining room seats is between 100-150 per . We would never quote 500 per seat for chairs and this is a misunderstanding. Whoops!"

It was a great experience. Rich is easy to get hold of and extremely helpful, as are his crew that I dealt with. It is difficult to find craftsmen doing this work, but we like solid, older furniture built to last and Rich makes that possible. He did the work on time and as promised. He also picked up and delivered. He's a great guy who is proud of his work and justifiably so. I would not hesitate to use Peroni's again and I already have plans to do so because he also does furniture refinishing! Count me in!

Brought my chair to Peroni's shop. Mike took a look, said it would be an easy fix, and gave me the price before he started work. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes!

stripped pieces to the frame, and rebuilt. Very professional. They picked up and delivered, and I am very satisfied with the results. My only complaint was it took a long period of time. The fabric was delayed, however I did not demand delivery by a certain time. So I would say it could have been an error on my part. I would recommend and use them again
