I strongly urge you to not consider Turbo-Wash for your power washing needs.
**
This review is not about the power washing itself. I have to admit that the exterior of our unit is much cleaner than it was before the power washing by Turbo-Wash.
**
This review is about what happens when something goes wrong. Does the business owner take responsibility when performance of the service results in damage to the customer?s property? Does the owner conduct himself in a professional manner? Is the owner an ethical businessman? Based on our experience, I have to answer these questions with a resounding ?No?.
**
My wife and I happened to be home at the time of the service, and we immediately noticed a cluster of bright spots, wet to the touch, on the carpet near the rear French doors, when we stepped into the living room. We ran outside to tell the workers, who had since moved on to other nearby units. When we showed them the still-wet spots where the color had been removed from our carpet, they said that this wasn't possible, that the cleaning solution contained only water and sand.
**
Luckily, we were able to locate Jeffrey Hancock, the owner of Turbo-Wash, who was also on site. After inspecting the damage, Mr. Hancock acknowledged right away that this damage was caused by the cleaning solution used by Turbo-Wash, which does contain some bleach. He appeared to express a strong and earnest desire to work with us to make things right, and to take
full responsibility. (It was only later that we learned that this was just an act. I eagerly await Mr. Hancock?s debut with the local community theatre group. Actually, so strong was his performance that he may go straight to Broadway.)
**
Since that time, Mr. Hancock has been extremely unresponsive, never (until today) responding directly to our numerous attempts to contact him, but only indirectly through one of his associates, and only when the management company for our community would intervene on our behalf by leaving a strongly worded email and/or voicemail for him.
**
Today (12/23), I have received from Mr. Hancock a letter, the first direct contact from him since the incident occurred, in which he completely reverses himself, backing away from any responsibility. For example, suddenly the bleach spots, which were undeniably wet when Mr. Hancock observed them firsthand, have now been recharacterized by him as dry spots, implying that they were pre-existing and therefore not a result of the power washing.
**
Despite the fact that Mr. Hancock has refused to reimburse us, I do take some comfort in the knowledge that our community, and the other communities served by our management company, are unlikely to ever again use his services. This is based on the highly unprofessional manner in which he has conducted himself throughout this episode. His consistent lack of responsiveness and his failure to take any responsibility for the damage caused by his company have been really deplorable.
**
I fully expect that Mr. Hancock will attempt to refute this review by twisting the facts to suit his own purposes. He'll also point out that out of our entire community, we were the only ones to report this issue. But is that really relevant? Mr. Hancock is saying, in effect, that because none of the other homes had this issue, that proves that he can't possibly be responsible for what happened to our home. Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't follow that "logic".

I can only say to you that if you do decide to go ahead and use Turbo-Wash in spite of this review, then good luck to you. As long as everything goes right, you?ll be OK. But if there are any problems that need to be addressed, I think you will be sorely disappointed if you hope to encounter a man of character, an honorable businessman who takes responsibility when his company is clearly in the wrong. Is it really worth the risk?
