General Remodeling
11/07/13 Heating system went out. Installed new aluminum line with compression fittings; replaced thermocoupling (new).
Charged $350
1/6/14 Heat went out again.Cleaned and flushed circulating pump. Replaced previously replaced thermocouple. Charged $597. **Told me and my wife he guarenteed it was definitely fixed, he guaranteed it and it would cost NO MORE
1/7/14 Heat went out. Cleaned burners. Cleaned pilot.
1/8/14 Heat went out again. Installed new gas valve. Charged $800. We questioned John or Jan. He stated the parts alone cost $600. We said we'd pay him but he needed to send us the itemized listing and receipts for the parts.
We were referred to John by his brother (Strama Builders) who was busy at the time. We never had a problem with his brother. Additionally his brother is a co worker with my wife. We trusted John and we paid him in good faith.
He sent us a description of work but NO receipt for parts. We looked up every part he changed and it came up to maybe a little over a hundred dollars. We've sents emails to John and called him stating that he needed to provide receipts or issue a refund of $1000. On a couple of phonecalls on 2/8/14 I spoke with John and again he said he would send receipts for the parts which would indicate he spent what he said. Nothing has come yet. He now does not answer calls from me. I told him he would get a reviewfrom me which would indicate the service he gave us and that eventually we will take legal action. We even had his brother try to speak with him to no avail. STAY AWAY FROM Strama Construction Enterprise. John or Jan Strama is a crook. He cheated us for plenty of money and it took a few times to fix the heating system
