Description of Work: Ernie picked two friends and me up at my house, in Bloomfield, and drove us to a concert at MetLife Stadium. After the concert, he drove my friends back to their hotel and dropped me off at home.

+ -1 moreI had used this service back in May for a ride to Newark and found Ernie to be very professional and kind, so I called him when I needed a ride home from the airport late at night. He was there waiting for us even though the flight was delayed and getting our baggage took awhile. He keeps in contact via texting, which is very helpful. I would definitely use his service again.

+ -1 moreI'm a widow and to have to go to New York I need to drive to the train station or drive somewhere to catch a bus. I don't want to go alone. The best thing is they don't have to wait if I have dinner or go to a play. If you want him to wait they only charge $10 for 30 minutes. If you want them to wait they will. I just prefer they drop me off and pick me up later. Mr. Miller is very pleasant and easy going. He is a good driver. You feel comfortable with his driving. He is efficient. He is concerned if you are comfortable in his care.
Description of Work: I use the car service to take me places.

Description of Work: The original arrangement was for a trip to Newark Airport from Lincoln Park & East Hanover and 6 days later pick-up at Newark Airport and drive us to our homes in Lincoln Park and East Hanover. Our driver arrived promptly for me at Lincoln Park we picked up my fellow traveler in E. Hanover and got to the airport in plenty of time. Assistance both offered and needed with our bags was minimal. |On the return portion of the arrangement, however, there was confusion with the "texting" of our arrival. Subsequently Ed did not pick us up or speak to either of us in person on the phone. He had apparently allowed only 25 minutes for our plane to land, taxi to our gate, deplane, walk to the baggage claim, collect our luggage and get to the exit. Consequently, once communication was made (texting), we were instructed to "take a cab" as he had to leave the airport to service another client. | |We were astounded! For our driver to have "booked" another client allowing so short a time between our scheduled pick up, knowing he would have to then drive us from Newark Airport at approx. 7 a.m. (rush hour) to East Hanover & Lincoln Park to then be somewhere else almost simultaneously seemed very poor planning by him and disconcerting to us weary travelers to say the least. His last text suggestion was to wait at the airport for another 2 1/2 hours until he could return to pick us up. We could not wait--did make other arrangements making the best of a bad situation.

+ -1 moreI had called this provider on 12/2/13 because I needed limo service for 12/5/13. I chose this provider based on all ot the great reviews and because he was close to where I live. I left a message for him as my call was picked up by voice mail. I did not receive a call back on 12/2 so I called again on 12/3 and again left another message indicating that I really needed his service and requestd a call back. I never received a call back and had to call another car service. I'm sorry that I have to write a negative reveiw since all the others were glowing. In reading about this provider he states that he is driving to supplement his Social security I hope that his non responsiveness is not the result of him being sick.

+ -1 moreI used Eddie for the first time for transportation to and from Newark Airport for my vacation. He arrived early (6:30 AM on a Saturday morning). Helped me load the luggage in the car. Arrived at the airport without incident. Eddie then contacted me in Mexico to confirm the return information. When I had my luggage I texted him and he picked me right up at the door I specified. He uses text messaging to confirm all details which is very convenient and avoids misunderstanding. Driving me home I asked him if he could pick me up the next morning and drive me to the body shop to pick up my car. He said sure and called the next morning to confirm when he would pick me up. Eddie is a very nice guy, very pleasant and professional. His price is more than reasonable to the airport. I will definitely use Eddie again for any transportation needs I have.
Description of Work: Picked up at home and dropped at Newark and then met me at Newark for return trip. Then next morning took me to body shop to pick up my car.

+ -1 moreI contacted Ernie to find he was an independent contractor and he was flexible to my needs. I like to go into New York city and not use public transportation. I needed to be dropped off near a venue and picked up at a later hour to return to New Jersey. Because Ernie is an independent contractor his services meet my needs. I didn't want a limo driver to sit and wait for me, but to do other jobs that met the driver's needs and was still able to provide me services during my time frame. Ernie is a wonderful person and I have used his services several times. His prices and fair and he's on time an reliable. I'm very blessed to have met him from Angie's List.
Description of Work: Picked me up at my home in New Jersey and drove me to New York City. After a few hours provider returned to New York City and returned me to my home in New Jersey.

+ -1 moreThis worked out very well. We found Ernie on Angie's list and called him up with a few days notice - we needed to be picked up for a 5:15 AM flight out of Newark. He was very reasonably priced, gave details of the car he owns vs our luggage and people requirements, and showed up right on time! In addition, he went above and beyond when we left our camera in his car. Would definitely recommend and use him again. Very pleasant as well.
Description of Work: Ernie picked us up and took us to Newark airport in the middle of the night.

+ -1 moreErnie picked us up at the house at approx 6am on a Saturday morning. He was on time, we traveled to Newark Airport and he dropped us off directly at the departing flights. He helped us with our bags and wished us a good vacation. When we returned a week later, he had confirmed the pickup via my cell phone earlier in the day and was waiting for us at the arriving flights. Again, helped us with our bags and drove us home quickly and effieciently. I would absolutely use his service again.

Description of Work: Picked up my daughter, her husband and child on time (even a bit early) on Friday, January 4, 2013. Very courteous and helpful getting family and luggage settled in car. Drove safely to Newark Airport and arrived in plenty of time for flight. My son-in-law was very impressed that owner of company picked them up and helped with everything. Very child-friendly to the 3 yr. old. Pleasant during the ride and offerred to help at the destination with luggage and assisting gettng out of the car. An overall excellent experience. Ernie communicated during the entire process and was happy to answer all of my questions, espcially appreciated since I had a horrific experience picking them up from the airport through another service. Very pleased and will use him again for sure!

He is retired, has two daughters (so he could relate) and he was more than willing to do what I requested at an agreed price per trip, based on distance. Ernie did exactly what I wanted and my daughter needed. He was punctual and arrived on time without fail each day that we had scheduled. My daughter is a healthcare worker and many people depend on her. She was relieved about not missing work and I was just as relieved to know we had contracted with someone who kept his end of the bargain. My daughter and I can definitely recommend Ernie if you are in need of a reliable car service.
Description of Work: I was going to be away for about 10 days and needed someone to drive my daughter to work and drive her home after work each day—door to door. She works from 3 pm to 11 pm and it's almost impossible to find a taxi service in this area who would commit to doing this without fail. Many of them don't even work that late. And no one was willing to agree to a binding arrangement. Most of all I wanted someone utterly reliable who I could trust to do exactly what I asked while I was thousands of miles away.

+ -1 moreIt has been working out very well. He is prompt, punctual, friendly and professional, but most of all kind. I do not drive and we worked out an agreement that works for both of us. He also communicates via cell phone and via text which gives us the flexibility to work together to communicate just in case of an emergency, in case of illness, bad weather, bad traffic, etc... He will text me when he arrives to ensure that I know that he has arrived at either my home or office. He is very courteous and professional. His car is clean and comfortable and his manner always pleasant. When you hire Ernie, he will become more than a driver, but will become another friend! I highly recommend. Prices vary depending on how many miles, the nature and length of trip.
Description of Work: Ernie has been driving me to and from work for almost one year now providing curb to curb service. Ernie comes to my home each morning, brings me to work, and then returns to my work each night to bring me to my home once again.
